On Sunday, December 3 at 3:30 pm The Truth about Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion Robert Spencer
Description: In "The Truth about Muhammad" author Robert Spencer argues that the example of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, justifies jihad and terrorism. Author Bio: Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch and author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)," "Islam Unveiled: Disturbing Questions about the World's Fastest Growing Faith" and "Onward Muslim Soldiers: How Jihad Still Threatens America and the West."
On Sunday, December 3 at 4:30 pm Muhammad: A Prophet for Our Time Karen Armstrong
Description: In Karen Armstrong's biography of the Prophet of Islam she describes Muhammad as a respectful man who lived a decent life. Ms. Armstrong argues that while the Islamic religion is often represented as cruel, inherently violent and intolerant, Muhammad taught tolerance toward Jews and Christians to all of his followers. This event was hosted by the Mosaic Foundation as part of their new lecture series "Re Discovering the Arab World."
Author Bio: Karen Armstrong is the author of numerous books, including "The Great Transformation," "A History of God" and "The Spiral Staircase."
Heehee!
"... a little wider view of history."
Or a fictional one.
Interesting that the Islamophile is on second. It should have been the other way around.
Yup! You're naive all right. But that's OK. There are NO illusions about Nuclear Weapons. When it all goes down, the USA will do it right, this time! This time IS, the last time.
Stay well armed and safe...............FRegards
Ultimately all history is false. Only outright fiction is true.
bump
Apparently Karen Armstrong is describing an Islam that exists only in her peace filled fantasies of the Prophet. It does NOT describe the death cult he founded that is practiced by hundreds of thousands world wide.
Just watched the Robert Spencer segment. He's brilliant! Quick! ... Somebody draft him to run for president in 2008.
I'm watching the Karen Armstrong segment.
She seems to be in a servile ecstacy in explaining what a fantastic
guy Mohammed was.
Aside from being a suck-up to the Islamics, the affectations in
her delivery are good for a couple of chuckles.
She needs to watch the PBS show that appeared soon after 9-11 on Mohammed.
I think it was titled something like "Legacy of A Prophet".
Although an apologist puff-piece funded by Muslims (Saudis), it
revealed Mohammed to be a good leader of thugs, great in acuquisitions
and having assistants that pulled his chestnuts out of the fire a
few times.
In other words, a smart, lucky guy.
Sort of like L. Ron Hubbard without a scimitar.
