A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

Always Winter

READ: Psalm 30:4-12

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. —Psalm 30:5

Unlike some of my family—who  can’t wait to go downhill skiing—I don’t look forward to winter. When the first snowflake falls, I immediately start calculating how many months of Michigan winter are left.

Imagine C. S. Lewis’ fictional world of Narnia, where for a hundred years it was always winter. Cold, wet snow—with no hope of springtime ever arriving to wipe away the memories of icy temperatures and piles of white stuff. But worst of all, in Narnia, Christmas never came. Always winter and never Christmas! To me, the best part of winter is the anticipation, excitement, and wonder of Christmas. Life is bleak when you have nothing to look forward to.

There are some whose souls are locked in winter. The hardness of life has frozen their hearts. Disappointed with life, they find that each day is filled with despair. “Weeping may endure for a night,” the psalmist tells us, “but joy comes in the morning” (Ps. 30:5). In the darkest times of our lives, God longs to turn our “mourning into dancing” (v.11).

David wrote, “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul” (Ps. 94:19). If you cry out to God in the midst of your “winter,” you can experience the joy of the Christ of Christmas today. Cindy Hess Kasper

Now none but Christ can satisfy,
None other name for me;
There’s love and life and lasting joy,
Lord Jesus, found in Thee.  —McGranahan

Jesus can turn your sorrow into dancing.

“My dear fellow Americans standing tall on that “shining city.” As sun shines through it, it shows your great nation of respect and as well of burden His Majesty has giving to you.

As you continue to march for freedom and liberty you see many being jealous of your accomplishments and of that great “shining hill” of New York harbor; Lady with a torch welcoming new comers with liberty and freedom. Symbol of what America is.

While yours great soldiers fight gallantly with allies along side to spread that freedom many go so pessimistic and loose hope of outcome. Outcome will be freedom and liberty of all people who earn for this so long. Everything will be well, end will be accomplished and His Majesty will be praise in hearts of humanity.

It takes hard work to accomplish victory; it takes so much that sometimes is hard to comprehend; His Majesty knows this. He will not give you that task knowing you can not handle, for I am sure you can. For that torch is burning of American spirit; freedom and liberty!

Unfolding events in world are moving quicker. As is written by Saint Daniel, Saint Isaiah, Saint Jeremiah, Saint David, Saint John; et fore His Majesty himself. Standing in faith of truth will a battle be won; outcome you know. Yes; it would not be easy task, many tears will flow, and end will be accomplished with His Majesty Holy of Holy alone.

We have support of his army, and I can assure you; it’s powerful and can overcome anything evil throws at them and us. Saint Michael alone can take on them all with power of His Majesty; power so powerful evil will crumble to dust, for evil itself is suicide and absolute nothingness.

War that is coming is in biblical proportions of spiritual realm as well physical. It will be fight in faith and wisdom as it was in time when one Angle said no to His Majesty. He already lost. Et al; be optimistic o.k. As things getting darker; outcome will be victorious in hearts and lives of so many.

My dear great America, how much I pray for you as so many of your great standing citizens, who loves her as I love my nation, pray for her as well. His Majesty blesses her and let that torch in New York harbor born brighter on that “shining city” of freedom and liberty.“

My warm and fuzzy is my fat heather brown and white male cat, Henry. He's constantly begging for food, I yell at him to be quiet and I hate when I do that, yet every single night he's sweet enough to come ambling down the long hallway and into the bedroom and sleep near me.

He's just so sweet.

Thank you Mayor - Psalm 30 resonates with every person who has gone through a dark night of the soul.

Re:Dolly's #7 Warm and Fuzzy Wednesday IS Very much a well thought out Theme idea...I understand the reason for it.To say it's just an idea because another idea couldn't be thought of or implies lazinessis not the case at all!

I say this not as one who came up with this well thought out idea but as one who knows the concept/meaning behind the term Warm & Fuzzy.

ie when I went to summer camp Warm Fuzzies were kind thoughts;well wishes;compliments;pics;crafts given to others in the spirit of shaing/caring for an individual(s.)

In addition to this summercamp definition, the definition of FR's Finest Thread version is stated within the ever presnt opening Header...

Dear Jesus, please help me to always remember to think and pray before I type or post anything, like right now, Thank You!
