Hi Star always great to hear from you!
I know it looks ominous but think about it, if you know the ownership is rat infested already we will just analyze it even more. We already distrust the entire msm what will change? ,We couldn't probe them much more than we do now, let em' have at it.

Newt is the most brilliant political tactician to help the party in generations. Problem is he screws up just enough to keep from getting the big prize.
Besides the msm would go after him with a vengeance like no one else. They really don't want to go up against anyone that knows them inside out.

I really hate the conservative 'Lord of the flies' mentality regarding Newt. It would be nice if conservative attack dogs would keep their powder dry, and wait to see what Newt has to say in comparison to other GOP Presidential candidates. I guarantee he'll be worth waiting for.

The fact that the left will be gunning for him should be enough for conservatives with spines to come together and put commies on notice that we will no longer tolerate their underhanded slander..... PERIIOD!

Rush said that they held up his visit at Walter Reed Hospital on Thursday for 20 minutes or so and it turned out that it was because J. F'In K was there before Rush- NOT PLANNED I'm sure! Rush went into the Rehab Room finally and the folks he talked with basically that there was no personal communication with Kerry druing his "inspection of the Troops"!
We have to stop being Naive. These A holes know exactly what they are doing. Everything is planned in advance!
Take off the Gloves Freepers and stop being polite!
Be firm, be factual and ask questions. The sheeple will be stupified!

Though they did eventually see my point .. they still vote dems into office .. who are doing the exact same thing they did to Philly

Amazing, isn't it? Every dem I know understands this, but "old habits--and propaganda--die hard." The dems still think they're the party of the "little guy," and of "tolerance," etc. They're still in the 1930's, and are living a lie about FDR. Our side is not very good with propaganda--something very hard to do, when the DBM is biased in favor of the dem's mythological version of 20th century history.

..at least it will get them to shut up..

######

There is the big mistake. The Dems, like any manipulating child, never stop demanding more, more. Why is this fact not visible to our elected reps.

Did you hear the soundbite that the talk show hosts were playing last week of Schumer saying that the min. wage was going to go up this year..and the next, and the next, and the next.

He just kept saying it over, and over...they are gloating SO much....I can't wait until they find out in 2008..that they have overstepped their "mandate" by a whole lot.

I do not know if you get the same feeling as I do, but I felt that Webb was losing until the Ads by Allen's People about the disgusting, filthy book that Webb wrote. I believe the Conservatives decided that they did not want that stuff brought out in a campaign, and rejected not the Author, but the one who brought that Filth into their living rooms.

Actually, regardless of his politics now Jim Webb IS a hero and he's had a very positive impact on the Marine Corps. Some of his books are required reading. Soldiers (especially those who served in Vietnam) see and hear things that those of us in "polite" society aren't exposed to. So, sometimes their language is a little more blunt and much coarser than what we're used to. The thing is, Jim Webb wasn't writing for the general public, his "audience" was his fellow soldier, especially his Marine brothers. Allen's people took this "filth" out of context and tried to make political hay with it and it backfired. It's a shame because Allen was the more experienced candidate and just because someone's distinguished themselves in war doesn't mean they'll be a great senator, lawyer, or French chef for that matter. It was the most politically stupid maneuver (among a host of politically stupid maneuvers) his campaign made because he managed to offend folks not accustomed to such "filth" and the soldiers who lived it every day.

We need to cling together these next 2 years but also hang on your State threads-- Get Folks motivated, see an article that identifies our issues, get it in your local rag.
I just wrote a nasty note to the Editor of my local Freebie..
Subheadline " Traditionally Republican Bastion disses Bush"

All of the Pubbies who ran, won. The Demons had some dipshit non binding referendum against the Iraq War which won by 16 Votes!
Puhleeze!
Not only that, but the Author's last paragraph dissed Bush, how the Iraq War is being mismanaged.
Do we know if these folks voted the Way that they did because we are not kicking enough Ass?
Since when was "Bush" running etc. etc.
GO For it!

The thing we need to remember is that living in "red" states it is still possible to do something that is nearly *impossible* in most blue states: to have genuinely conservative Republicans win statewide elections.

We owe it to our oppressed conservative brethren in places like Maryland and Oregon to nominate and elect genuine conservatives -- especially to the US Senate, but also to governorships, Congress...

Very ,very late response. Thanks for the info, and different aspects to this mess that was called a campaign. Talk radio did not help at all, and if I wanted to hear that filth I would subscribe to those channels that have it. I did not expect to hear it on talk Radio. I turn off Rush when he feels insecure and starts talking about disgusting sexual behavior, especially involving animals. The problem is once I am angry enough to turn it off, I forget to turn it back on again.

I went off the thread and did not come back until a few minutes ago so this a very late response. Newt is not more likable now than he was two years ago, and the DBM has nothing to do with it. He may be smart, and easy to take in small doses but he is boring and unattractive in large doses. I listened to his several part lecture series in a group at GOP HQ in Broward, and almost everyone was falling asleep at every sitting. I was part of the Group that set up the showing and just could not fail to show up, but it became a chore because he is a bore. He led a revolution by having a killer instinct, and that is pretty much gone. He can be a great adviser and maybe a Cabinet Member, but is not Presidential, and never will be. Don't forget his petulant sulking after he had to go to the back of Air Force one when Slick Willie was President. don't forget how he even admitted to being seduced by Clinton's charms so that he gave in to him on important things and time after time, he would be rolled by the Slickmeister. You cannot make him what he is not, and being nasty and negative to people that do not see him in the rosy scenario you do will not win him any support here. You must have had a crush on Gladys Kravitz, you seem to think about her an awful lot. Abner would not appreciate all the attention you give to her.
