FREEPERS, it is time for PAYBACK! The ULTIMATE RINO must suffer the consequences of Tuesday!
vanity | November 10, 2006 | YDR

Posted on 11/10/2006 5:22:19 PM PST by You Dirty Rats

Since Tuesday almost all of us have been saddened and angered because we lost Congress to the 'Rats.

Why?

How did our united, magnificent victory in 2004 end up achieving so little and lead us to defeat in 2006?

There are many reasons, but tonight I focus on ONE.

IMHO the term "RINO" is overused. While looking at an ACU rating list I noticed only one Republican Senator with a score below 50 and below any 'Rat Senator - Chafee. I felt he was the only Senate RINO.

But there is another -- far, far worse. He had a lifetime rating of 80 -- yet he is the ULTIMATE RINO!!

Freepers, many of us have been upset the past two years. For some, it was Terry Schiavo. For others it was when Voinovich stabbed Bolton in the back late. For others it was the border issue.

But for me, and I suspect many others, there was another moment that ended our 2004 victory and began our 2006 defeat.

We all don't think alike and in 2004 we worked hard to re-elect GWB for different reasons. One reason I believe at least 95% of Freepers share -- JUDICIAL NOMINATIONS!!!

And here -- The President kept his word. His nominations, on current evidence, are better than any other President. Yes, he goofed on Miers -- but he corrected that error and it all worked out.

For YEARS, ever since Bork and Thomas were humiliated, we Conservatives waited and worked for victory. We reached 55 Senators and had the "nucular option" ready. We were all set to blow the 'Rats judicial obstruction to hell. I, like many Freepers, was on the Live Thread waiting for the moment when the 'Rats had to step aside or be blown to hell. Victory was at hand ...

... and then that grandstanding jackass whose bitterness at losing in 2000 ate away at him decided it was time to rain on our parade and form the infamous Gang of 14.

Freepers, isn't THAT the moment in the past two years when we threw away our victory? Isn't THAT when Republican turned against Republican and our unity died? Isn't that moment when our fate this Tuesday was sealed?

And WHO LED THIS???

MCCAIN!!!!

MCCAIN is the ULTIMATE RINO -- not because of his voting record, but because he stabbed the President, Bill Frist and all of us in the back!! It was horrible that the President and Frist caught flak from some conservatives on this when they were victims of McCain's Mutiny!!

AND NOW THAT DIRTY BACKSTABBING RINO WANTS TO BE THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE IN 2008? HE DOESN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS AFTER TUESDAY??

Freepers, I urge all of you -- DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STINKING RINO!! He has wrecked our Party and should be shunned, not supported for President!!

The way I feel today, I might actually stay home if McCain faces Hillary -- because I can't support a candidate of our Party who turned on our Party like that.

MCCAIN, YOU DIRTY RAT!! YOU WILL NEVER GET OUR PARTY'S NOMINATION! DON'T GO AWAY MAD ... JUST GO AWAY!!!

No Argument Here, I've been making the same argument with people since then as well.

We need to find someone else to take thenomination & we need to get him voted out, so he doesn't do it again.

Wow, your post fits my mentality perfectly.
Word for word!

Have to say seeing so many freepers wary of McCain renews my faith in this place.

I've never sat out an election but if the choice was McCain vs. any lib but Lieberman I'd sit it out and think of moving to a more sane country if I could find one..

Luckily McCain is already a 2x loser and has no support from the core... he's a non-starter , we've had his number for a long time.

Campaign Finance Reform -- this is why I despise McCain. I will *never* vote for him, I don't care who the Democrat nominee is. And, I think that Democrats will vote in huge numbers in the Republican primary to put him on our ticket, knowing full well that many despise him and they will have a better chance of winning against him.

Oh please. Haven't you noticed that all the talkers, with the exception of Levin, staked out their little "plot". What does Savage (or any of them) know about conservative action. They're goddam millionaires and just like the fat cat politians, their main goal is to STAY millionaires. They TOLD us so. Yeah, in your ear.
GWB was hobbled from the start by that stupid recount. He fell all over himself trying to be the President to all the people. He then was foolish enough to think that the people would stand behind him as he tried to defend the country. Poor guy. Stuck on patriotic.
You don't like the drug plan? Guess what, the d's are going to make you REALLY hate it. You don't like the border problem? Coming soon: no borders.
GWB was beaten to a bloody pulp for 6+ plus years by the press, the media, the internet whores and yes, even by "our" people, who can be whores themselves. Frankly, to me, the so called conservative talk show hosts are the most offensive of the whores. We are comforted to learn that Sean has put this all behind him. Laura is looking forward to some fun with Nancy. Rush gets the giggles as he reads the latest proclamation from the mohammed whoever. Yes, boys and girls, put it behind you. All is well. Ka-CHING.
Believe me Savage is just another barking dog. Someone will throw water on him and he'll shut up.

Yeah, his health is suspect. Look how thin he suddenly looks. You can't beat melanoma that easily. Maureen Reagan certainly didn't.

Check the guy's appearance when you see him on t.v. He is noticeably thinner. I don't think it's from exercise.

"Mega Dittos. You are going to hear lot of Establishment Republicans tell you "McCain is the only one that can win"."

First of all, you are correct about what we will be hearing.

Second, anyone can say what they want about politics, that does not mean that we have to buy into it.

I am becoming wary of those who try to sell us that someone can not win in the general election. Let's give them a chance.

When you say that Senator McCain "kissed and made up with the Viet Cong," you failed to mention that he kissed and made up with that traitorous scoundral, John F'in sKerry. Oh thats right, sKerry was part of the Viet Cong. Never mind.

Yeah, McCain is pathetic, we all know that. The sad thing about our party is that Dims stick together, and we Republicans "eat our own". If things don't go our way, (border control seems to be the biggest issue), some Republicans aka Libertarians stay home.

So many other issues are more important, number one being national security. I'm sure President Bush feels very let down now. He has to deal with a very liberal Dim Congress and Senate. God help us all.

Geez, some of the posts on this thread remind me of the hate and rage I saw on DU against some Dems after they lost in 2004.

totally misplaced anger. in retrospect, the gang of 14 was a good move. it got us Roberts and Alito. and if we had changed the rules, we would now have lost the ability to fillibuster as the minority in the next senate

Exactly, but there is so much hatred here for McCain that you're wasting your time trying to explain it...There'd have to be at least a scintilla of intelligence to understand the point.

That is some useful information. God knows we have suffered under Bush's inability to communicate.

I have been trying to find some video on him but Quicktime won't work for me so YouTube is out. T^T I'm from PA so that puts me at a disadvantage for finding him on TV. He does have a good sounding voice though. XD

"I can't stand Snake McCain, but......

the way I feel right now is....

SCREW ALL OF YOU that stayed home this election, voted for a third party or voted for a DemRat, rather than vote for a Republican In Name Only....

and SCREW ALL OF YOU that plan to do the SAME when Hitlery runs for President!

This is FUBAR situation partially (or mostly), all YOUR fault.

And of couse, if you just happen to be a paid DU'er....here to spread discontent and disenchantment among the cons & Reps, you probably should receive a medal, blue ribbon or award of some sort...for having done your treasonous job so well!"

I agree with a lot of what you say here, but there is one presumption that everyone here is making. Everyone here acts like McCain is the only Republican that there is. I plan to work for the most conservative Republican candidate to win the primary. I will determine what to do about the general election after the primary candidate is chosen, not before.

Yes, I will probably hold my nose, but first I plan to fight for the best in the primary.

Those who hate McCain -- like me -- MUST DO IT IN THE PRIMARIES!!!!!

Do some work for a change and get ACTIVELY behind a candidate. Join the local Republican party and do some work (yes I'm repeating myself) -- Work instead of just posting!

It seems a few people still don't get what just happened...especially during a WAR -- where 2 years is a VERY long time!!!

I see the point you're trying to make - but maybe if it weren't for the gang of 14 - we wouldn't BE the minority in the next senate.

They usurped the President's collateral authority. It was downhill from there.
