Michael Savage gets a lesson in politics 101

Posted on 11/10/2006 3:00:44 PM PST by RussP

I actually liked Michael Savage at one time, but now I am embarrassed for him every time I hear him (which is not often). The guy has become a clueless loon.

To show off his "independence," he refused to endorse Republicans. Fantastic, Michael! Then the day after the election it finally occurred to him that a Democratic Congress is now empowered to work with Bush on his amnesty program for illegal immigrants!

What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?

Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration. You're a true patriot, but not a very bright one!

Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out *before* the election that (1) Bush is not on the ballot, and (2) if the Republicans don't win Congress, the Democrats will. In other words, Rush passed politics 101 a long time ago, but Michael never did.

I happened to be listening yesterday when a caller tried to point this out to him. How did Michael reply? He couldn't argue rationally, so he resorted to his usual 3rd-grade-level name calling and telling the guy to change his underwear. I kid you not.

Ironically, Michael wrote a book calling liberalism a mental illness, but Michael clearly has a mental illness of his own. He has become some kind of deranged, angry clown.

"Never speak ill of another Republican"

It was the Policies that cost us the election. Not the personalities.

Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out

Hmm, then why did Limbaugh give his infamous "water carrier" speech the day after the election? A speech which could have well been titled "Michael Savage was Right".

Dream on. Every single thing Savage has been warning about for 2 years has come to pass. A brain-dead arrogant, corrupt Republican establishment, led by Bush, led us to this stunning and devastating electoral defeat. Wrong on immigration, waging the Iraq war like the ACLU was in charge, spending like drunken sailors, supporting RINOs like Specter and Chafee over true Conservatives--the GOP threw this election down the toilet on its own.

I tune into Savage for about 10 minutes each day to find out which of his personalities showed up.

I saw him as a shill for his own ego, a long time ago - not only as a shill but very self-presumptive about his subjective opinions. And he thinks Limbaugh is a shill...for the Republicans - I don't think so -what he can't stand about Limbaugh is that Rush has or does the research before he opens mouth whereas "Savage" inserts shoe mucho often.

I listen everyday and love the show.

On the short bus en route to the Tard Hall no doubt.

OK good you get it. I just get tired of people crying that its Savages fault for the Republican loss. I cannot stand people that make excuses.

One the hardest thing in life do is to say I and only I am the result of the decisions I have made in my life.

"How could any Republican credibly convince voters they would pursue a tough borders policy when every American knows the TOP Republican--President Bush--is an open borders maniac?"

That's just brilliant. Do you watch the news at all? Are you aware that the House Republicans were pilloried by the "drive-by" media for trying to be too tough on illegals? So now the Dems are in charge of the House, and they will work with Bush to encourage illegal immigration. And you think that's justice for the Republicans in the House? If so, you are confused. Go ahead and follow your Weiner off a cliff.

Yes, Rush usually knows which end is up, which is more than can be said for Weiner.

You are positively demented if you think the base stayed home or strayed Democrat because the GOP as TOO TOUGH on illegals. I almost lost my dinner with laughter over that comment.

You have a hang-up with weiners..I hope it is not personal.

Since you totally avoided my first response to you, I'll ask this in a different way.

Do you support Freedom of Speech for Muslims in the United States that call for the destruction of America and death to her citizens in their mosques?

And you apparently have a reading comprehension problem if you saw that in anything I wrote. It was Weiner who refused to endorse Republicans because he didn't like *Bush's* immigration policies. Now Weiner finally realizes that his foolishness helped *enable* Bush's immigration policies. In other words, the moron shot himself in the ass. Why is that so hard for people like you to understand?

Savage's real name is Weiner, ignoramous.

"Do you support Freedom of Speech for Muslims in the United States that call for the destruction of America and death to her citizens in their mosques?"

I support freedom of speech, but I do not support allowing terrorists to plan acts of terrorism. Duh!

That is BS because Savage started weeks ago talking about what was going to happen if the liberals took back the house and senate. Savage endorsed the republicans because of the war on terror because he knew the liberals would not fight it. Maybe you should of listen to him more than never.

What is the difference in your statement? By allowing them in this country and to have their little closed mosque meeting, they are using our system of free speech against us. The proof is in the pudding. Look at the 19 hijackers that trained in this country to hijack the planes on 9/11.

He, in fairness, said he was voting Republican after John Kerry's latest gaffe; he couldn't see how anyone else could vote Democrat. And his infamous "maybe we'll get real Republican leadership after we lose Congress" rant seems to be coming true. This past election will be the catalyst that will embolden House Republicans(I don't hold as much hope for the Republican't Senators) to step up and make an attempt to wrest the party from the limp-wrists in charge now. There is already talk on other radio programs, and I am sure there are rumblings in Washington. If you don't like him, fine. If you want to post this vanity in the wrong section of the website to get your frustration off your chest, that's OK, too. Just remember each of these talk hosts have their place, as entertainment and education. Take as much of both as you wish from all of them...but don't discount all of their message when you find something for which you find disagreement.

Let me explain why Savage-Weiner must be repudiated in no uncertain terms. When he turned nasty on Rush, he showed his true colors. He could have disagreed with Rush without calling him demeaning names. The one and only reason he got so nasty and personal with Rush is that he is green with envy at Rush's success as a spokesman for conservatism.

Imagine a player on your football team being so envious of the captain of the team that he tries to sabotage him. That's essentially what Weiner is trying to do with Rush. He is trying to discredit Rush so he, Weiner, can take his place as the top talk show host. And Weiner doesn't give a rat's ass that he is hurting conservatism in the process. He is a just conceited a--hole.

Savage is not the only "moron" who did not figure this out prior to the election. I am reading many comments on Free Republic, rejoicing in the lesson that the republicans have been taught, saying they got what they deserved.
