Michael Savage gets a lesson in politics 101

Posted on 11/10/2006 3:00:44 PM PST by RussP

I actually liked Michael Savage at one time, but now I am embarrassed for him every time I hear him (which is not often). The guy has become a clueless loon.

To show off his "independence," he refused to endorse Republicans. Fantastic, Michael! Then the day after the election it finally occurred to him that a Democratic Congress is now empowered to work with Bush on his amnesty program for illegal immigrants!

What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?

Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration. You're a true patriot, but not a very bright one!

Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out *before* the election that (1) Bush is not on the ballot, and (2) if the Republicans don't win Congress, the Democrats will. In other words, Rush passed politics 101 a long time ago, but Michael never did.

I happened to be listening yesterday when a caller tried to point this out to him. How did Michael reply? He couldn't argue rationally, so he resorted to his usual 3rd-grade-level name calling and telling the guy to change his underwear. I kid you not.

Ironically, Michael wrote a book calling liberalism a mental illness, but Michael clearly has a mental illness of his own. He has become some kind of deranged, angry clown.

"I count Savage as one of those factors"

So you are saying that Savage's opinion won out over Rush's opinion or Hannity's opinion, or Michael Reagans opinion, or Bill Orilley's opinion, or Neal Boortz's Opinion, or Hugh Hewlett's opinion, or Michael Medvids's opinion, or Marke Levin's opinion or Laura Ingraham's opinion or Mike Galleher's opinion?

Lets see, I estimated the total listenership for the above at 52 million.
And Savage has a couple million.

Thats 52 Million to 4 or 5 Million and yet it was Savage's opinion that cost the election for the GOP.

"I have observed that in my opinion his show may have made the difference in a few key election'

And I am telling you my opinion is this election should not even have been as close as it was with the worst crop of democrats in this nations history.
John Kerry? Nancy Pelosi? Chuck Schumer? Hillary Clinton?

The close races you refer to could have easily been turned around with a GOP willing to fight for AND ENACTING conservative issues. You know the issues we are talking about.

You Weiner guys seem to have difficulty grasping basic concepts. The thread is not about "blaming" Weiner alone, but it is about holding people like Weiner to account for sitting on their hands and letting the Dems take control of the House. The Republicans in the House were trying to do something to stop illegal immigration, but now thanks to losers like Weiner the Dems are now empowered to increase illegal immigration. Get it now?

What we are saying is that Weiner's opinion reinforced ABC,CBS,NBC,NYT,LAT,WP to help elect the Democrats. Please stop pretending you're too dumb to understand that.

"ABC,CBS,NBC,NYT,LAT,WP"

What are you talking about?

Those MSM companies NEVER said anything about securing the border,
or cutting out of control spending, or using MORE extreme force in Iraq, instead of the Political Correct "New Tone" thing.

They never complained about Harriet Miers or the Dubia Ports Deal
The never complained that Sandy Burglar and the rest of the law breaking Clintonista's who have NEVER been held accountable.
They have never complained about Bush's amnesty.

What you fail to see is that Savage does not carry the water for the GOP.
(And apparently Rush isn't either anymore, based on what Rush said the other day)

Get back to Reagan basics and we will do a lot better. Continue on the path we are on now and it will get a lot worse.

I see you want Savage to put party before anything else. Like you said the election was the Republicans to lose. Quit making excuses for the Republican party. I cannot stand someone that points the finger at others for their loss. Only LOSERS do that and make excuses. Should of, Could of, Would of.... blah, blah, blah.....

The party has only itself to blame, and not one man's view. S

Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans

And he is right, of course. This is something that Rush himself admitted to after the election, when he said he felt liberated that he no longer has to carry water for Republicans that don't deserve it.

"Get back to Reagan basics and we will do a lot better. Continue on the path we are on now and it will get a lot worse."

If I recall correctly, Reagan's "11th Commandment for Republicans" went something like this:

Never speak ill of another Republican.

Rush speaks highly of conservative Republicans, but I've never heard him praising RINOS. The idea that he is a shill for all Republicans is a red herring. Please quit falling for these silly MSM/Weiner distortions.

What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?

What kind of moron is President Bush for (a) pursuing alien amnesty when his base wanted strict limits and a FUNDED border wall; and (b)refusing to fire Rumsfeld months before the election, and denying the RATs of their ONLY issue.

How come Bush couldn't figure those out *before* the election and keep both Houses of Congress?

Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration.

How could any Republican credibly convince voters they would pursue a tough borders policy when every American knows the TOP Republican--President Bush--is an open borders maniac?

Bush's disgraceful stand on immigration was a hell of a lot more damaging than anything Mike Savage ever did or said. I love how you BushBots blame everyone but the idiots who lost Congress--Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, and the pussies in the Pentagon, who couldn't wipe MacArthur's ass.
