We do indeed live in interesting times
Judgement Day '06 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/07/2006 11:45:49 PM PST by Jim Robinson

We do indeed live in interesting times.

I believe our resolve is about to be tested like it's never been tested before and I pray we're up for it.

The Democrats and the leftist media see this election as a mandate against the president and the war. They are about to pull out all the stops in their mission to totally demoralize the American people. If they succeed to the point we pull out of Iraq before the Iraqis are strong enough to defend themselves, I'm afraid it'll be the Killing Fields all over again. Only this time much much worse and much closer to home.

Praying we have the national resolve to resist the enemy within. Praying we maintain the will to continue the fight against the global jihadists. Our very right to survive as a nation and a free people depends on it.

Our president and our troops are going to need our prayers and support now more than ever.

God willing, America will survive!

The "squishly middle" otherwise called Independents, voted for democrats who ran in the center. Happy now?

It's possible that they will not attack us again, being happy for us to gradually surrender, as France is doing.

I saw small shades of that in Dearborn, where a mosque was allowed to broadcast prayers five times a day.

And in California, where a court ruled it's okay to ban the mention of God from schools and also okay to require kids to dress up as Muslims and chant "There is no god but Allah."

Democrats in the center, or Republicans in the center. What is the difference?

You are absolutely right. I was listening to Rick Santorum yesterday as he was talking about the fact that he and his family prayed for Casey and his family daily because they knew how difficult it was for families when someone was running for office.

We need to follow that example and pray for the democrats who have been elected as well. They need it as much if not more than POTUS if our nation is to survive.

The Moderates ran our party and ran it on the rocks. OK, just like in 1976 and 1992 time for the Conservatives to take back their party.

None of that foolishness would happen if "true conservatives" consistantly stayed home on election day during the primaries, then pitch fits and threaten to leave the party during the summer and have to suffer with RINO's and moonbat leftist's in November. Want to affect change? Stop punishing the party at every turn with this abhorrent and inherent self-centeredness.

"Let them celebrate. The terrorists should no now that President Bush will not give a damn about any public opinion or world opinion in the next two years, they will regret that they were born and so will many other terrorists regimes, mainly Iran."

That was the most kick-ass post I've read all night. Thank you, jveritas, for what you wrote. I'm praying for our President, our leadership (yes, even the newly elected), our troops and our country.

With appreciation,

Monica

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

I always have a tag line in my email at work. Today I'm changing it to that.

There have been darker days than these, many times, in the history of the Republic...

Please elaborate and tell us just exactly when that was as my memory can't recall any days blacker than what we are about to face.

The simple answer is most people do not believe we are war.

In time they will - albeit the hard way - but they will.

History. Doomed to repeat it. Clearly they didn't learn the REAL lesson of Vietnam. I'm sorry I've lived to see this day.

The President signing CFR alienated many conservatives from the start. Sending the Feds into California to raid cannabis pharmacy's that the people of California voted to allow showed many conservatives that though Bush had said before his election that such issues were states right issues not federal ones, that he was willing to ignore the will of the voters of the state to impose a federal solution on the people against their will. . States rights proponents whatever their view on the WOD's were outraged.

For some conservatives the Patriot Act was a biggie...Saying that we needed this act to protect the people sounded hollow in light of Republicans opposition(rightly so) to the Clinton version of the PA that were enacted after the 1992 attack on the WTC. And where were the demands from Republicans for a PA to protect us from terrorists then. It was the same terrorists after all.

Many conservatives who had lived under the threat of nuclear annihilation all their lives in the cold war with the Soviet Union wondered how we survived that much more dangerous time without gutting the Bill of Rights. If we didn't need a PA for the Soviet Union and it's threat of suitcase nukes and 20,000 nuclear missiles aimed at us then we sure didn't need one for one conventional attack in one city which killed only a fraction of the Americans that die every day of the year. Why should such restrictions be put upon American civil liberties at a time when we refuse to even police our own borders and are still allowing middle eastern men of 911 profiles easy access to our country?

And that brings up another problem. War on terror? Terror is a tactic, not an enemy. After 911 Bush named the axis of evil as the enemy. Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. No mention of Saudi Arabia which financed the terrorists and fund whabbisism terrorism...or Pakistan which hides the Saudi terrorists. The soft touch on the Crown Prince was unseemly and it seems the nutcases in NK and Iran are determined to call what they think is the Presidents bluff.. Americans support the war. They just want a defined enemy. War on Terror sounds much like War on Drugs. IOW, a never ending war of attrition with no clear enemy.

It looks to a lot of conservatives that Bush family personal dealings with what appear to be our enemy(Saudi Arabia ect.) has affected military policy and national security.

Like it or not polls showed the GOP was hammered over the Federal Executive intervention in the Schiavo case...Stem cells, flag burning, online poker...Harriet Myers?, and several other "family values" issues are just not at the top of most conservatives list of what to do first in order of importance. The religious right thought they were more then just a part of a coalition within the GOP and decided they were the power behind it. Libertarian and fiscal conservatives such as the ones which populated this site in large numbers in 1997-2000 were marginalized, insulted, banned and ridiculed in the GOP at all levels and such marginalization extended even here.

It was that faction which took the GOP to the woodshed last night. Such conservatives are unwilling to vote for any politician or party which runs on a platform of fear.

I pray for this nations future...we were at a crossroad...we chose the path most traveled, the road of least resistance.

I fear this generation has failed to listen to the calling of their fathers, we have abdicated the responsibility to our children.

May God forgive us.

Thanks Jim, and all Freepers. Do not abandon hope.Events will shake the Dimwits into reality, but at a tremendous blood price.

Prediction: It is 1939 all over again.

As US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are drawn down with false prognostications of, " The Iraquis are ready to take over control of their own country," the formation of an Axis of Muslim States bent on the establishment of a World Caliphate is assured. At their center will be a nuclear capable Iran. The Islamofascist Axis nations will be Syria,Iraq ( under Shiite control),Iran, Afghanistan and eventually Pakistan. Israel and then Europe will become the first victims of this false victory of the Left in America. FOR IT IS A FALSE VICTORY in terms of history.

Israel will attempt to slow the process by attacking the nuclear research centers in Iran in order to buy more time, simultaneously defending itself aganst Hezbollah. It will be too little too late.

This Dimwit false victory means an eventual world war in which China and Russia will figure prominantly as either neutral observers or our hidden enemies.

We have but one chance to alter this course in the presidential elections of 2008. A failure then will mean that our nation must again, prosecute a World War but this time with an added complication involving strategic nuclear weapons.

The Dems can proclaim a false victory BUT they have no plan, and that means the cutting off of money for the war in Iraq, the deaths of many more American soldiers as we draw down our troops. Our Saudi allies ( so called) will fall into line with the Shiite/Wahabi expansion. Oil will become more dear. Chavez will promulgate Communism in Venezuela as Americas sphere of influence declines in South America. He is the new strong man of South America who history requires be defeated by an increasingly weak resolved America, unlikely.

This Victory is False. The MSM media has traduced the American people. Lets hope the people awake before it is too late to presreve the Republic without bloodshed, the likes of which the world has never seen.

These are predictions based on the false path that our government will now tread.

New Slogan: 2008 determines our fate!

I spit on this false Victory of the Dimwits. It is a cosmic joke.( I voted a straight Republican ticket here in Moon Bat Vermont.)

Thanks again Jim.You are the Obi Wan Kanobi of the remaining Jedi that Free Republic represents. The Dark Side has arisen. My sword is yours.

May the Force Be With You.
