You're seriously mistaken. As I mentioned, my disagreements with Kristol are primarily over immigration (he's pro-open borders, pro-amnesty for illegals) and pro-gun control. He's been accusing the GOP-dominated House of being "anti-immigrant" for a long time now, and sees the Dems sweeping to power as vindication of his (admitted liberal) position on the matter.

So yes, he richly deserves the "RINO" label.

I have to tell my secret.

While I have never been "exit polled" I have be phone polled a number of times, and every time but once, I have answered their questions the exact opposite of what I think.

Why? They are using classical and very valid AND sophisticate marketing technology to make decisions regarding OUR future based on how it effects their political future as opposed to what is the best option. I want to screw these people up. This technology is great if you are selling widgets and want a leg up on your competitor and I have no problem with that. But as a method of determining the fate of the nation, it is a horrendous technology that makes the sound bite more important than substance.

I want politicians to not trust any poll and to once again begin to think for themselves, right or wrong and to formulate informed opinions as opposed to "popular" opinions or doing a "Clinton" and sticking their finger in the wind every time their is a tough choice.

If you are a patriotic American, it is your duty to lie to political pollsters who allow their considerable skills to manipulate our future as opposed to allowing open debate and reasoned decisions. Anytime they call you, tell them the exact opposite of what you really think -- (or just make up some really screwy stuff and see if you can crash their computers.) If we can put the Greenbergs, Zobgy's and Rassumussin's of the world on the unemployment line, we may well get our Constitutional Republic back.

Understanding how the mathematics of sampling work, it does not take very many to really screw up their models. Please resist the temptation of telling some college kid working for minimum wage in a phone bank "What You Really Think". Instead, lie like hell to the kid and be "sincere" while you're doing it. You will be preforming a patriotic service. If you want to write to or talk to the politicians themselves, don't hold back -- let them have it. That will create even more dissonance when the pollsters tell them one thing, and you tell them the opposite. It will separate the wheat from the chaff.

Changing MSM/liberals is like pulling a racoon out of a garbage can in the middle of the night.

They are garbage hunters and always have been, even back in Ben Franklin's day. Sorry to break your heart.

It sounds like you stereotype sucess with as RINOs just as Kerry besmirches our military.

Btw, in your long history of making asinine statements, that one could very well be the most asinine of them all.

" the vote totals they show make no sense for the calls they're making...It's ticking me off Big Time.

It shouldn't. If you got slapped on three previous occasions, on the fourth you should look for a different variable. The absentee and early votes get counted later on. Turn the TV off and go to bed early. There are large amounts of absentee ballots to be counted.

I'm just hoping Pubbies learned the lesson of 2000 and didn't get off the line when the state was "called".

If Fox keeps putting Kristol on the air, they are going to keep losing market share!

I turned all News off last Friday. I tuned to FNC after reading some of this thread. It's off again.

I missed Steyn. Ordered his new book last night. Why doesn't this guy have his own radio show? He's awesome.

Fox needs to fire Hemmer, Jarrett, Scarface, O'Reilly and a few others. E.D. Hill needs to go back to Fox and Friends.

That's why I'm barely even paying attention tonight. They pulled this same shit in 2000 and 2004.
