A natural progression in the culture of death logic. Once the "killing" genie is released from the bottle, it seaches out new victims and new means of extinguishung life.

I've heard that the British healthcare system is financially in ruins. If so, this is probably where the motivation comes from. Not that it makes the suggestion any less despicable.

What a great example of "progressive" thought in action.

The college's submission was welcomed by John Harris, a member of the Government's Human Genetics Commission and professor of bioethics at Manchester University.

"We can terminate for serious fetal abnormality up to term but cannot kill a newborn," he said. "What do people think has happened in the passage down the birth canal to make it OK to kill the fetus at one end of the birth canal but not at the other?"

Needless to say, this kind of thinking becomes more prevalent when the state takes over responsibility for medical expenses.

a response to the number of such children surviving because of medical advances.

Drat! Medical advances have resulted in lives being saved! That's double-plus ungood. We need policies in place so our doctors can start killin' the ones that need killin'. We must restore the balance in the Force. It's for the younglings.

The problem with this philosophy is that absolutely EVERYONE is disabled in some way. To kill on the basis of personal flaw is fundamentally a will to destroy all of humanity. This truth is self-evident to anyone with senses and anyone who is partly free from pure delusion.
These doctors and those who support them are anything but healthy in the head. It is up to them to discover the light, in the meantime, all that we can do is try to outnumber them and protect those who are vulnerable from annihilation.

In 1987, my wife and I had a microcephalic (small head) son. Not able to hear, see, walk, grow, barely able to take food in. He lived with us for 4.5 years. In 1991, our sixth child and second son was born to us. That very same evening, our son, Stephen, went to be with his Creator. To suggest that killing a disabled baby will make the family who kills the baby "less disabled" is about as dumb as it gets. That 4.5 year period changed our family forever - we are now more able not disabled.

This is simply a natural progression in Socialist Ideology..

Why waste resources on the disabled, when they can be much better used by the Socialist Elites?

Matthew 18
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. 6But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

....except for the FACT that you'd be murdering a human being with an innocent soul...it's an absolutely fantastic idea.

No one should be surprised by this. Here in America, they have elevated one such proponent to the head of the philosophy department at Princeton. Anyone who had even heard of Peter Singer knew exactly what HE was before he was hired. The death of the handicapped, damaged, the ugly, the poor and, eventually, all the "swarthy" will make the elitist Sanger-ists so very, very comfortable in the world they wish for...won't it?

When the Christian/Judaic foundations of a society are lost and materialism rushes in to fill the void, the society is very susceptible to a takeover by the ideology of death, despair and destruction.
England is no longer Judeo-Christian. It is materialistic. Jihadism is taking advantage of the situation.
The same thing is happening in the USA, but more slowly.

The ghouls on the left salivate over killing even more innocent members of society, whose only crime was a desire to live. Every member of the ghoulish left should have to suffer the same fate they so easily dispense on others. But then again, only they have the right to decide who should live or die (sarcasm).

These sorts of people can rationalize anything.

Who decides what's "too" diabled and why stop at babies? Maybe we should sift through society and "weed out" those who are "too" disabled.

Evans married Roy Rogers on New Year's Eve, 1946. Rogers ended the deception regarding Tommy. Rogers and Evans were a team on- and off-screen from 1946 until Rogers' death in 1998. Together they had one child, Robin Elizabeth, who died of complications of Down's Syndrome shortly before her second birthday. Her life inspired Evans to write her bestseller Angel Unaware. Evans went on to write a number of religious and inspirational books.
