I then served my obligation of 5 years and got out during the Clinton decimation of the military. His leadership inspired me to resign even my inactive reserve commission.
While in law school, 9/11 happened, and that inspired me to seek re-entry on active duty as a judge advocate.
I am a proud veteran of OEF.
I was throughly insulted personally, and on behalf of the troops I work with, by Senator Kerry's insulting cheapshot made at the expense of all who serve in the military.
I do not accept Senator Kerry's faux apology.
In my mind that is THE political photo of the year.
Forget "Time" (cough) magazine, forget all those editors who filter the news; right-thinking Americans KNOW this is big stuff.

Why did Kerry throw his presidential aspirations away over an appearance for Phil Angelides?
What was he thinking? Angelides is so far behind in the polls and has no chance against Arnold Schwarzenegger, why was Kerry even making an appearance for him? Couldn't Kerry find a winner somewhere that he could use as a platform for his speech?
To have Kerry's career ruined over the failed Phil Angelides campaign is truly ironic.

Goes to show how smart they really are!! They were not going to let that stupid Kerry get by with that so they used their ingenuity to answer and they captured the headlines all over the world........pretty smart, huh?
Meanwhile, Kerry surrendered yesterday to a barrage of criticism from Republicans and Democrats over his troop-trashing gaffe and apologized "to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.
It's a shame really.
34 years ago, at my first USNA plebe Honor Code indoctrination, Lt. John Kerry was illustrated as the "Don't Bee".
