John Kerry Responding to Republican Distortions, Pathetic Tony Snow Diversions and Distractions
johnkerry.com ^

Washington – Senator John Kerry issued the following statement in response to White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, assorted right wing nut-jobs, and right wing talk show hosts desperately distorting Kerry’s comments about President Bush to divert attention from their disastrous record:

“If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they're crazy. This is the classic G.O.P. playbook. I’m sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did.

I’m not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium, or doughy Rush Limbaugh, who no doubt today will take a break from belittling Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s disease to start lying about me just as they have lied about Iraq. It disgusts me that these Republican hacks, who have never worn the uniform of our country lie and distort so blatantly and carelessly about those who have.

The people who owe our troops an apology are George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who misled America into war and have given us a Katrina foreign policy that has betrayed our ideals, killed and maimed our soldiers, and widened the terrorist threat instead of defeating it. These Republicans are afraid to debate veterans who live and breathe the concerns of our troops, not the empty slogans of an Administration that sent our brave troops to war without body armor.

Bottom line, these Republicans want to debate straw men because they’re afraid to debate real men. And this time it won’t work because we’re going to stay in their face with the truth and deny them even a sliver of light for their distortions. No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut and run policy in Afghanistan and a stand still and lose strategy in Iraq.”

He has a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease. Shameless. Thoughtless. Self-absorbed.

John Kerry made the comment to college students that in order to be smart you had to study hard in college or you could wind up in Iraq. Just what part of that was a jab at Bush? He made the assertion that those who serve in the military in Iraq are not smart enough to stay in college, or were not smart enough to get into college. Those words were not a jab at Bush, but a direct attack at people like my son and my nephews who are either currently in Iraq (my son, my brother's son) or served a tour already (my sister's son, who is going back next summer). Kerry is an anti-american, narcissistic, egoistical, self-agrandizing, over-inflated, seditious B*st*rd who should be arrested and tried for treason. Do I sound upset?

Have you ever seen a more unhinged press release? Unhinged, I tell you.

sKerry upset the donkey cart - and if we keep up the emails, day after day, to the media - it will continue until everyone in the country see it for themselves...remember the rule of thumb for the media to run a story: they need to hear from 40 to 45 people - so we need to do it every day

Is this his defense for why the big bad Republicans are picking on him?

Hannity and Colmes on now - poor Alan Colmes is tying himself in knots demanding that Kerry was only making a joke about Bush 0

NOW - if this is the response of the demRats - we need to keep on this - because if they continue to refuse to condemn what Kerry said - not only don't condemn, but DEFEND - then we need to keep up the emails to the media to keep this going - because it's going to splash over onto all of them,

They are pretty stupid to defend him on this. But it shows they agree with the traitorous scum -

Keep up the emails to the media - tell 'em we want to hear what the dimRAts up for election are saying - are they spinning? Yep...

Totally indefensible

Right now, as my son is somewhere in Iraq (and we've had no word from him for two weeks), and my nephew is in Baghdad, after hearing the ignorant comments of Colmes, I want to punch him between his beedy little eyes. Fortunately for him I'm nowhere near where he is right now.

Anyone have those photos of "Real Man" John Kerry playing football on the campaign trail?

Matthews has also backed the contention that the context of the speech was about Bush's failures and that therefore Kerry was referring to Bush not the Soldiers

He may have bashed Bush later in this remarks

But these are Kerry's own words

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

There is not one word in there about President Bush

Google: ex-military corporate officers

http://www.refresher.com/!dominance.html

The US military is the finest management training in the world. Period. Compared to OCS (Officer Candidate School) training, Harvard and Wharton are all form and no substance.

Approximately 40% of Fortune 500 CEO’s are ex-military.

Why? First of all, US military officers learn by doing. They learn the fundamentals and application of the principles of leadership. Officers learn the differences between strategy and tactics. They don’t just learn how to run a complex organization. They learn how to achieve a mission objective. They learn how to plan for it; how to prepare and train their troops for it; and how to focus the assets available in the most effective manner, while minimizing losses. The price of failure is horrific. The training is so intense because the stakes are so high. That kind of training develops real leaders.

Ex-Military CEO Firms Outperform U.S. Market: Study
By REUTERS, NEW YORK

U.S. companies led by chief executives with military experience have outperformed the U.S. stock market’s benchmark index over the past three, five and 10-year periods, according to a survey released on June 16.

The study by recruitment firm Korn/Ferry International found 59, or 8.4 percent, of the CEOs running the 500 companies in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index had served as military officers, and these companies on average outperformed the index by up to 20 percentage points.

Wonder what these CEOs would say to John Kerry.
