I do not think "secretly" and "some" are the correct words. Evidence overwhelmingly concludes they should be replaced by "openly" and "most" and remove the word "unfortunately" and replace with "accurately".

Sentence should read:
'If it is not resolved, then people will accurately run around saying 'Well, the reason they didn't get rid of him is because most of them openly support his views,'' Howard said.

This correction is offered free of cost.
