It's Bush's fault.

If you've been paying attention, the reports have been that the chatter has been saying there will be a big attack before the end of Ramadan. I wouldn't be surprised.

It will be in the water.....something similar to the E-coli spinach scare, but much worse and harder to treat....It won't be detectible through common first line testing, and it won't be detected until a massive portion of the users come down with problems....it is the quickest way to do the most damage that causes the most trouble with the least awareness...I sure hope the water departments and DHS have already planned for this...

He did fire him, actually demoted him to a new position in the org.

The prob wasn't their Defense--it was great that night. All the Bears points were defensive or special teams--a few fumbles run in for TDs and a punt return.

The problem with the Cardinals was that they were not able to finish the game by eating up enough clock by driving down the field--not necessarily to score but to take up time. Also, they settled for FGs when they could have tried aggressively for TDs. Playcalling hurt them because they got too conservative by trying not to lose instead of playing to win.

One of the best lines ever spoken on television was when Roger Staubach had his short-lived stint as a football analyst on CBS in 1980.

In the Carter-Reagan debates a few days before, Carter had closed by mentioning his teenaged daughter Amy's greatest fear was a nuclear holocaust.

Early in the Dallas-St. Louis game, Staubach was asked by Frank Glieber what concerned the Cowboys on defense. "I spoke about this with my daughter Amy," Staubach replied, "and she said Dallas' biggest fear was the bomb."

Staubach was not renewed for the 1981 season.

If it were to happen, I wonder how we would react - like Spain in 2003 or like the USA in 1941?

Seven stadiums - all open air (except for Atlanta)

Well, Houston's is open air...when it wants to be. It can also be closed if such a whim takes it. ;-)

Go there and you'll see a few more links that give more details. Apparently the threat was more than just a casual mention of the possiblity (which was what I ddid), but was a detailed explanation and a real threat to do it. Here's just a little:

"The death toll will approach 100,000 from the initial blasts and countless other fatalities will later occur as result from radioactive fallout," according to a copy of the posting that was obtained by The Associated Press. The bombs, according to the posting, would be delivered to the stadiums in trucks. All but one of the stadiums -- Atlanta -- are open-air arenas, the posting noted, adding: "Due to the open air, the radiological fallout will destroy those not killed in the initial explosion." Explosions would be nearly simultaneous, the posting said, with the cities specifically chosen in different time zones. The posting said that al-Qaida would automatically be blamed for the attacks and predicted, "Later, through al-Jazeera, Osama bin Laden will issue a video message claiming responsibility for what he dubbed 'America's Hiroshima."'

eeewwwww at that thought but check out what PJ reported on his thread about one of them saying Yes, and that's why I've decided to...persecute Christians. At every opportunity. All of them, even the nice ones. Oh, I'll do it nicely to the nice ones, but I'll be nasty to the nasty ones. This is the mindset so a frige full of body parts would hardly be a surprise.

Just freakin WOW and our feds are now claiming the threat wasn't credible? This is just way to thought out not to be credible. My guess is that the feds are claiming it wasn't credible because they don't want to be accused of pulling a political stunt by the Libs and MSM.
