Virgil Goode leading by 16 points in Virginia's 5th Congressional District (Survey USA)

In July, Goode led by 24 points, but the close in the gap doesn't really matter. Goode is safe no matter what, IMO.

I'm a dedicated conservative and Republican but I knew Al Weed from the 11th Special Forces (Reserve) in Maryland during the mid-1970s. He is a veteran and a very honorable guy. He may likely have had active duty service as well but it's been too many years for me to recall. He is well respected by those with whom he served.

Haven't seen him for all these years and am at a loss to understand why he is a Dem. I can't say I hope he wins but he's a good guy and deserves our respect for his service to the nation.

Goode has this district locked. The only thing interesting about the Goode-Weed race is its name

Now how can THIS be? Va. is full of dumb hick Christians would run for their guns when they hear the word "homah-sexul". Why, anybody knows those folks won't vote GOP after foley!
