A phalanx of Democrats, led by Hillary Clinton, claims the Bush administration is to blame for the N. Korean nuclear test. John McCain responds, pointing out that it was the Clinton administration's failed "agreed framework" that let Kim Jong Il merrily go about his bomb-and-missile-making ways.
So how does Hannah Storm of CBS' Early Show frame the state of play?
"Sen. John Kerry said that you must be trying to burnish your credentials for the nomination process, he's referring of course to your presidential aspirations. I mean, what do you say to those who say that you're [her voice breaking into a horrifed squeak] politicizing this issue?"
McCain had had enough: "I say that the attacks were made on President Bush, I responded to those attacks on this administration and [his nose wrinkling in disgust] I don't think I need any lessons from my friend John Kerry on politicizing an issue."
Bada-bing.
CBS-Early Show/NewsBusters McCain-bada-bing ping to Today show list.
Credit where credit is due. Good for McCain! And I note he didn't preface it with the usual "my good friend John Kerry" nonsense.
I am not a McCain fan but anyone that takes a swipe at the Clintons and Kerry in a 24 hour period deserves an "Atta boy".
Well, he did call him his "friend," but his nose was notably wrinkled in disgust when saying it.
Ditto.
Well, that's something.
The media darling gets an opportunity to nail the democrats now and then.
Nice Comeback! That's going to get Yaaawn another Purple Heart.
Pray for W and Our Troops
He ticked off Merideth this morning who dismissed him without a goodbye...it was great.
I'm delighted to have McCain to use to fight back for our side. Won't vote for him though. How I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Clintoon camp to see their reaction to this. Will they start the campaign to destroy McCain sooner than they originally planned to???
He may be (nay prolly is) a nutjob, but it's great to see a beeotch slap on that Pierre looking F'n.
What happened with Meredith?
Speaking of morning programs, Donald Trump is on Fox and Friends this morning.
He is wearing the absolute worst make-up job in history.
With all his $$$$, you would think he could have hired a better make-up artist.
Oh my goodness, the lines are drawn, the MSM might love John McCain, but not nearly as much as they worship at the altar of Hillary.
On TODAY too, McCain had to clear the record with Meredith Veira (sp). She set up her first question by making it sound clearly, as if McCain had started the spat with Hillary for no reason at all, and against all logic, by blaming Clinton for North Korea's nuke test.
Some consolation over at Imus, sock puppet Charles "gets it", and for once, schooled Imus on Clinton's disasterous chats with North Korea.
McCain would have none of it, in no uncertain terms, he told Meredith he didn't start the row, he was RESPONDING to Hillary's attack on Bush.
No surprise the MSM will downplay the truth of what McCain said, instead trying to make it look like 2008 foreplay between McCain and Hillary.
His "friend" John Kerry. God, that Senate stinks to high heaven.
Wow, McCain must have some polling results showing he is losing GOP conservatives so now he has to make up ground with us.
