Yes, we could do naval blockade and get China to seal the land border as best they can with DPRK on the north.

Foley and Korea will both be Bush's fault.
The only two stories for a week.
Completely George Bush's fault.

Just like "nobody knew" for 20 years what a hurricane would do to New Orleans.

Here's what I want to know. Did Bubba Clinton do ANYTHING effectively during his term in office that was actually part of his job description and for which we're still paying him a pension??? ANYTHING. Did he do ANYTHING or did he just date his staff and sit there and play Nintindo or something?

Breaking- US Position: "This is a very provacative act"

Thats rich. We are so weak. Im sure the paper pushers are getting paper cuts over this one.

Now we need a series of international meetings to outline possible sanctions to be identified at a later date with specific triggers to bring about a series of agreements backed by harsh and specific rheotoric that will be a precursor to previously outlined actions that would dictate strong future hurdles to be identified..

Japan has the science, the industry, and the nuke plants, and now they have a threat against them that merits changing their minds about not building them. South Korea won't be far behind.

And then I suppose, in order to compete, America will start making its nukes in Mexico....

Per Fox news, (I think this came from James Rosen) according to a high ranking U.S. official in the Bush administration, there was a test. But the N. Koreans were expecting the results of the explosion to be 400 killitons. They did not get the results they had hoped for. It was of 3.58 magnitude.

NK is a wholly owned subsidiary of China. The PRC pulls the strings, NK plays a tune, we dance around and complain.

"Oh, they still dont have the capability to launch an attack". Thats our new fallback position. I guess Im supposed to forget that countries are threatening me on a daily basis (NK,Iran etc) and just eat it huh? Why not call a press conference and just cut them a check Mr. Doctor Rice? Thats what we are going to do anyway right?

If they shipped the other 10 nukes in shipping containers to our ports several weeks ago....well this could be an interesting few days.

Thanks Carter and Clinton, you screwed us again.

I think it's time to bring out the Albright pics of her partying and making deals with the Elvis Korean dictator and expose the dems for actually giving NK the materials they needed to become a nuclear country. Also, let's not forget... Albright once said that global power is very unbalanced with the USA being the ONLY super-power.

Im listening to the BBC live right now on the newest nuclear country to be born

Now that all these major powers are on record that a N Korean nuclear test is "unacceptable" will someone please demonstrate what that means? If there was a test we have to begin to accept this is a major failure of diplomatic and military policy. Despite all teh wishful thinking, a nuclear N Korea is a very bad thing. Is it unacceptable or has it already been accepted?

IF what you just said about Bush proves true, we have a major failure on our hands. These situations either are unacceptable or not, they are threats or not, and we either stop them or we don't. There comes a point where the rubber has to meet the road. In the end I don't want my security lost while we play nice with our new found "friends" the Chinese, et al.
