DES MOINES, Iowa --Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry lashed out Sunday against a group that bashed him during his last run at the White House.
Kerry, who made a weekend appearance in northwest Iowa, said he is concerned that Swift Vote Veterans for Truth is again resorting to "the politics of fear and smear." The group, financed by Texas conservatives, ran commercials questioning his claim of being a decorated Vietnam veteran -- the centerpiece of his presidential campaign in 2004.
"We're not going to give them an ounce of daylight," said Kerry, who is considering another run at the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.
The senator said his response to the commercials was not strong enough.
"We thought the fact that the truth was out there was enough," he said. "Clearly it wasn't."
Those same conservatives have formed another group this year -- Economic Freedom Fund -- and are attacking Democrats across the country. Part of the campaign includes $500,000 to bash Rep. Leonard Boswell, D-Iowa, who is seeking re-election in the 3rd District in central Iowa.
Boswell is being challenged by state Republican Senate President Jeff Lamberti of Ankeny in a race that has included significant cash from both parties.
Boswell retired after 20 years in the Army, including two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. But the conservative group has chosen to focus on issues ranging from higher taxes to immigration. Part of the group's money is also funding an automated telephone campaign against Boswell.....

SO, may we assume that he's signed his form 180?

Of course not. Proof is not required for democrats. What they say is law. Bill Clinton said he was so obsessed with capturing Osama that Republicans cursed him out, even though there is no proof of that. But hey, Bill is a democrat and therefore it starts and ends with Bill Clinton. It is now an iron clad law that Bill was obsessed with capturing Osama, and therefore the New York times will not persue something further that has already been decreed law.

Love to see a celebrity death match between him and Mrs. Clinton, she'd eat his ass and for once I'd root for the bitch.

TRY RELEASING YOUR MILITARY RECORDS!Why doesn't the media sue for their release like they did for GW's records?
Yes, it's a rhetorical question

But you've gotta admire Kerry's tenacity, an honest man would have skulked away with his tail between his legs He has something else tucked between his legs.

Hey, he let a sycophantic historian (Brinkley) get a glimpse of some of the records in his file. Isn't that enough?

He's declaring he'll be tougher? Wanna bet he doesn't sue?

The penalty for treason shoud be death by hanging. Congress is authorized by the Constitution to define the penalty (Article III, Section 3).

To: bitt
Senator,
Why do you continue to refuse to sign form 180? Despite statements to the contrary to various leftist "Journalists" such as Tim Russet of NBC, you still refuse to release your records. If the Swift Boat Vets are lying, why not release the full records and prove it?

Kerry did sign a form 180 but limited it to only a few (or was it just that fellow that wrote a favorable book for him)...
He did not make it (his military records) open for the general public to view for some reason... Also the lawsuits were dropped against the Swift Boat... as someone mentioned, due to having to release his military records.
But in lawyer talk, Kerry can say he did sign a form 180.
