Anyone else peeved as I am at this nonsense? I am assuming it is a patriotic song. The images you see during this commercial are Vietnam War protestors, the peace sign, Nixon waving goodbye before he gets on his helicopter, and Katrina flooding. What a depressing commercial. Kind of defeatist if you ask me. Thoughts?

For a quick antidote, view the new Ford Mustang commercial. Takes place on a loading dock in Hamburg as a new Shelby Cobra is being uncrated. The German dockworker says to the car owner, "You couldn't vind a Cherman car you like?" The car owner says, "No, I couldn't find an American speed limit I liked." yea, its better just to stick with cool stuff thats not political when you're trying to sell stuff.(Ford has a problem with this as they like to also target gays & such also)
Coke has a new commercial out using T-Rex's "The Slider" as the music. I emailed them and told them the song was about sexual intercourse.
I haven't seen the commercial since. But of course, I don't watch much TV except for College Ball and maybe the pokes.
Mellencamp is a Bush bashing ahole! The commercial doesn't make sense I didn't think. If you want a song about America go to a true blue country singer like Trace Adkins not Mellen head!
If you knew nothing about US history and someone made you watch that commercial you would think our country was formed in 1962
