Incumbent Virginia Sen. George Allen, who has suffered through some serious campaign missteps in recent weeks and days, is now making a comeback. Those problems had resulted in the loss of a big lead over Democratic challenger James Webb, but it now appears Allen is once again on solid ground. He leads Webb, 48% to 37%, with 13% yet undecided. Allen is the only Republican in the 10 Senate races featured in the Reuters/Zogby poll to hold a double-digit lead.

comeback pingage
I've never had any doubts about Allen anyway.
Sounds like Webb's impersonation of Richard Nixon didn't work.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
Holy macaca Batman!
Hmm...Hillary appears with Webb and suddenly Allen is in double digits. Cause/Effect?
Allen "ain't all that" (as the kids say), and I can't see him as POTUS (there isn't anyone I can see as a good POTUS candidate in 2008) but Webb is a real cadaver--people like someone who at least seems alive.
What's the famous saying....word of my demise...
Hey, somebody call me Jewish!!!! I want a seat in the Senate.
Talk about a backfire on the antisemites and Islamofascist sympathizing feminazis at the Washington Post, and their running dog lackeys. (Did I miss anybody?)
But it is Zogby. I don't trust him. If other polls are similar, then ok.
SurveyUSA and Rasmussen have Allen up as well. But not by this margin.
I'd put him at about 6-8 pts. ahead.
And he's got 3-4 times the money Webb has.
You forgot the queers.
Rasmussen's latest gives Allen about a seven-point lead.
It was never about 2006 - the 'Rats know they can't win anywhere in the South, including VA - even with them taking over the NOVA suburbs, and even with a less-than-moonbatish candidate.
It is - and always has been - about trying to destroy his national viability for 2008.
The great irony is if Allen does win by double digits - thus destroying the MSM expectations game - he is actually in a stronger position for '08.
It's OK Charlie Brown - Lucy will have another football for you to kick in a couple of years. :-)
Don't forget wickedly hung over ;-)
Webb was in Alexandria, VA yesterday with Sen. Clinton.
Last week he had a rally in Market Square in front of City hall with Sen. Obama(foh-fana).
This is great news because campaigning in Alexandria is preaching to the choir. The city is 70% Democratic.
Viva Allen!
According to many Freepers Zogby isn't reliable, so why would we believe Zogby now?
I think Allen will win in a walk, but I'm not sure the lead is really this big.
