I've never had any doubts about Allen anyway.

Sounds like Webb's impersonation of Richard Nixon didn't work.

My prediction: The Democrats, and all their MSM handmaidens, are going to wake up punch drunk on November 8th.

Now all of 'em will be calling people "macaca" and asking their mothers about "secret" family history.
Hey, somebody call me Jewish!!!! I want a seat in the Senate.
Talk about a backfire on the antisemites and Islamofascist sympathizing feminazis at the Washington Post, and their running dog lackeys. (Did I miss anybody?)

But it is Zogby. I don't trust him. If other polls are similar, then ok.

According to many Freepers Zogby isn't reliable, so why would we believe Zogby now?
I think Allen will win in a walk, but I'm not sure the lead is really this big.

Hopefully most of those undecideds in Tennessee will not make the mistake of falling for Ford Jr's conservative act.
DeWine should never have joined the Gang of 14. Combined with the fall-out from Ohio's super-RINO governor, its easy to see why he's only getting 70% of Republicans, which is pathetic. I hope he can repair this damage, and make it clear that Brown would join filibuster attempts of any conservative nominee to the Court.

Glad to see the MSM's mud is sticking to the wrong target. LOL!
But don't forget to get out and vote for Allen!

The Reuters/Zogby surveys were conducted from Sept. 25-Oct. 2, 2006, I will be interested in some of the poll results this weekend to see what if any the Foley effect is.

The only safe assumption here is that this race is still close. Allen losing to Webb would be a catastrophy.

Well, it's Zogby, but even still.
Looks like the Webb attack machine really helped Allen a lot.

ATTENTION HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP:
George Allen's strategic turnaround represents a model that House Republicans may want to follow in light of the Foley debacle.
Allen immediately acknowledged his misstep, confronted it without trying to defend it, got it out of the way, and returned the focus to the issues of interest to the voters of Virginia.
Meanwhile, other Republican Senate candidates generally resisted using Allen's misfortunes to bolster their own campaigns, and the Senate leadership did not exacerbate the problem seeing that Allen was a big boy and able to square his behavior with his constituents all by himself.
Foley's troubles obviously represent a wider problem considering the implications of others involved who may not have spoken up at the first signs of trouble; but again, these should be left to those who may have acted improperly and the constituents they answer to. Taking on a fellow Republican for purposes of grandstanding just before an election benefits no one.
