Oct 3 marks my 5th "Anniversary"
in the Coast Guard Auxiliary
I have reported for "duty" to
Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat Station Coos Bay OR
at least one day,
every single week,
often times more,
since Oct 3 2001
To: hedgetrimmer
I just wanted to let you know I met with the Flotilla Commander today
and it turns out that I have a few skills that they need and can utilize.
I'm just glad that this old rusty tin can sailor can help protect our country again.

I've volunteered and supported the US Coast Guard,
each and every week, without missing a single week since Oct 2001,
by actually training and doing their job on base,
including (but not limited to)
radio watch standing, updating crew training records
and commercial and recreational vessel exams.

"Fifth year anniversary of actually doing something..." At this point it might be timely to remember that democrats get other people killed. Because none of them really see themselves as part of the 'masses,' they enact philosophical policies desgned to 'feel good,' rather than policies that are practical and efficient. More concerned with world opinion than with national security, democrats rely on instant polls of largly uninformed people and seem prepared to sacrifice American lives for their dreams. As elections approach, patriots need to make that case over and over again.

Crisp Army (RET) salute to you, Sir!
Don't we wish that some of our kids of today had half the energy of our "old" timer vets. We have to fight for our Freedom every waking moment of our lives. More people need to understand that.
