Exactly. They create a colossal family mess.
Bullshit.
Barney Frank was running a prostitution ring out of his house. If Frank was a Republican you can believe the Dems would have been all over this.
I understand Frank's lover was an adult and I know he allegedly used his own funds to support the guy.
It's unsavory, just plain unsavory. That's the sound and sight bites the Dems are going after with Foley. I think the Dem spinners know that the Repubs were trying to deal with Foley in the most appropriate manner possible. They couldn't very well just kick him out because he's a homosexual. Imagine the Dem sound and sight bites if they had done that!
Sure the Repubs are above the partisan and untruthful spin.
Which is why they lose so many elections even though the vast majority of this country is of a Repub mindset.
The DEMS win at the spin.
It's all good! :)
Hastert's staff have said they were told about Foley and they (the staff) handled it without informing their boss....
I don't see that as a big problem. I fully expect there to be wide debate in the President's inner circle.
Regardless of what Card recommended, GWB decided otherwise, Rummy is there, and Card is not.
Great idea! I would only add that their pensions need to come out of that, too - maybe w 'employer' (government) matching up to 5% of what they put into the fund. Think of all of the $$$$s we'd save!!
thank you for your #320. I hadn't seen a report of anyone denying info in Woodward's book. Sure am glad Andy Card is "out there".
Not trying to get testy with you, but I am extremely testy today because of the whole disinformation campaign that the dems and the MSM are working on to implicate and ruin the entire GOP!!
Meanwhile...Foley has 'disappeared' to let us clean up his filthy mess!!
Both men were interesting, and I found Joel Rosenberg (former aid to Natanyahu (among others) fascinating!
SaveDarfur.Org Ad Campaign Misleads About the Bush Admin's Role in Darfur
That's life and I'm old enough to simply accept that which I have no chance of changing.
I missed that part of the interview as I didn't see or hear those comments....
the President encourages that wide debate....
I think so too.
Interesting....I discovered this blogactive site yesterday after a google search on Mark Foley and about fell out of my chair. The venemous gay guy that runs the place is in this thing up to his ears and we should look for links and names everywhere on that site! Not to excuse Foley, but to piece together the DEMOCRAT complicity in this whole mess!
He may well have given this info not thinking, maybe naively, given the current hate against a lot of the Administration and in particular Rummy, that it would be twisted to mean he wanted Rummy out.
There may well have been other examples as well.
