I don't see that as a big problem. I fully expect there to be wide debate in the President's inner circle.

Regardless of what Card recommended, GWB decided otherwise, Rummy is there, and Card is not.

On MSNBC, Andrew Card says The White House encouraged him to speak to Bob Woodward, he met with him about six times. "The First Lady was never a part of any conversation to replace cabinet officers. "There was never a campaign to replace Rumsfeld, by me or The First Lady.", said Card.

The anchorette keeps saying "leaks to Woodward from inside The White House, but Card has made clear he, and others were openly interviewed by Woodward, at the president's pleasure. That ain't "leaking".

I'm glad Andrew Card reminds viewers the president NEVER said the war would be quick and easy. He never painted a rosy picture, or was in denial about it, which is the premise of Woodward's book.

Andrew Card was strong and firm, never played word games, and gives a brilliant retort to Woodward's allegation tht Bush was in denial about the war. Card calls it "resolve", not denial. Bravo, Andrew Card!

You'll get no argument from me about that and that's what Card kept saying which would have been fine if he'd not gone behind the President's back and blabbed to a reporter, whose book is getting treated like Guidion's Bible just weeks before a very tight election.

As one of the President's inner circle advisors, Card of all people, should have known better than to breech those private conversations/recommendations to a damn reporter. The GOP and this administration is trying to get through an avalanche of bad news while fighting terrorists abroad, political and media enemies at home with a HUGE election just weeks away.

People in the President's inner circle damn sure don't need to give our enemies ammunition that will help destroy us and frankly I don't see how you or anyone else could think it's not a problem.
