True, but he has been very consistent in his rhetoric. What you see is what you get with Rudy.

I don't feel that way about Newt.

For now, it remains to be seen. For the record, as much as I dislike Hillary and I do, I have to hand it to her for sticking by him. It could not have been easy.

About everything he said to Woodford...he's not denying anything, just putting his spin on the facts.....this is not good IMHO

FNC said Foliey is MIA.

Has not been seen anywhere.

We should be asking how long had ABC sat on the story and allowed children to be endangered.

How long did the Democrats, as the party of homosexuals, know of foley's homosexual activities.

They have far more to loose than this BS crocodile outrage.

LOL! I can spot the more obvious ones and I have always thought Foley looked gay. BTW, being single is not necessarily a clue: look at McGreevy.

Card is in a position to know about Woodward's book....he was there and has seldom done interviews...the fact he's doing this one shows that much of what is said in the book is from former staffers with a grudge...he's not spinning imho he's telling his perspective on the book, the WOT and the administration..I for one applaud his efforts

Be careful. This puts you squarely in the "middle of the road." You know what happens to things in the middle of the road.

:-}. No, I simply pointed out the flaw in your logic. I'll try to elucidate. If we supported retaining Foley in Congress as the Dems retained Studds and Frank while condeming the dems then we have engaged in moral relativism.

When we point out the difference in reation to evidence of disgusting behavior by the leadership of both parties we are engaged in politics.

I really don't know why you are having trouble with that.

Your logic was flawed, I pointed that out in a respectful manner. Now you can accept that your logic is flawed or not.

Cheers!

Totally agree Snugs. The Dims like to toss 'Middle Class' around wrt taxes and $s (e.g., no tax cuts for the rich, tax cuts for middle class). What they seem to be able to grasp if they are using it in that context, is that 'middle class' income in say NYC would be much more than in perhaps OK City - cost of living is drastically different. As I mentioned earlier, they also conveniently forget that these so called 'tax cuts for the rich' were also tax cuts for small businesses, which have increased in #, added equipment and have added jobs.

Here's some statistics on small businesses. These aren't current and I've heard the President mention large increases in the # of small businesses and their employees over the past few years:

Small Business Statistics
Did you know that...

there were approximately 22.9 million small businesses in the U.S. in 2002.
there were an estimated 550,100 new employer businesses in 2002 -- a 0.9 percent increase over the previous year.
small businesses hire a larger proportion of employees who are younger workers, older workers, and part-time workers.
business bankruptcies were 38,155 in 2002, about half of the level reached in the late 1980's.

Small businesses…
provide approximately 75 percent of the net new jobs added to the economy.
represent 99.7 percent of all employers.
employ 50.1 percent of the private work force.
provide 40.9 percent of private sales in the country.
account for 39.1 percent of jobs in high technology sectors in 2001.
account for 52 percent of private sector output in 1999.
represent 97 percent of all U.S. exporters.
http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbastats.html

The Dims also forget to tell folks that the largest portion of taxes are paid by the higher wage earners (so their so called 'tax cuts for the rich' were really tax cuts for the lower wage earners:

October 4, 2005

This is the latest data for calendar year 2003 just released in October 2005 by the Internal Revenue Service. The share of total income taxes paid by the top 1% of wage earners rose to 34.27% from 33.71% in 2002. Their income share (not just wages) rose from 16.12% to 16.77%. However, their average tax rate actually dropped from 27.25% down to 24.31%

*Data covers calendar year 2003, not fiscal year 2003
- and includes all income, not just wages, excluding Social Security

Think of it this way: less than 3-1/2 dollars out of every $100 paid in income taxes in the United States is paid by someone in the bottom 50% of wage earners. Are the top half millionaires? Noooo, more like "thousandaires." The top 50% were those individuals or couples filing jointly who earned $29,019 and up in 2003. (The top 1% earned $295,495-plus.) Americans who want to are continuing to improve their lives, and those who don't want to, aren't. Here are the wage earners in each category and the percentages they pay:
The top 1% pay over a third, 34.27% of all income taxes. (Up from 2003: 33.71%) The top 5% pay 54.36% of all income taxes (Up from 2002: 53.80%). The top 10% pay 65.84% (Up from 2002: 65.73%). The top 25% pay 83.88% (Down from 2002: 83.90%). The top 50% pay 96.54% (Up from 2002: 96.50%). The bottom 50%? They pay a paltry 3.46% of all income taxes (Down from 2002: 3.50%). The top 1% is paying nearly ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50%! And who earns what? The top 1% earns 16.77% of all income (2002: 16.12%). The top 5% earns 31.18% of all the income (2002: 30.55%). The top 10% earns 42.36% of all the income (2002: 41.77%); the top 25% earns 64.86% of all the income (2002: 64.37%) , and the top 50% earns 86.01% (2002: 85.77%) of all the income.

I got a different impression from Card...he looked nervous and defensive...and admitted he should not have been so candid with Woodford...but that's just my opinion.

PROSTRATE CANCER! It kind of has a way of getting in the way of politics. I had a friend who at the age of 34 died of Leukemia. I have three friends that have lost their husbands in their 30's to colon cancer. It's not as easy as you might think!

Is that painting with too broad a brush. ? I WANT THEIR EMAIL'S AND I WANT THEM NOW !

You're right... they always claim WWII was different.
Right, and this is worse.

At least they were from countries and wore uniforms, I doubt they were hiding behind locals and storing weapons in schools, hospitals and children's homes... even blowing up their own kids or someone elses. Orca the Olds Surfer and Clueless Graham... as well as the Manchurian Candidate still seem to believe that if we follow the Geneva Convention the terrorists will only cut half of a head instead of the whole. Idiots. For goodness sakes, they actually planted dead kids... dug them up, inside buildings in Lebanon (that they shot missles from behind said buildings to draw fire on positions), and posed them for hours. You can't have a conversation with these sub-humans... you have to wipe them out. As for as 'moderate' muslims (whatever that means, I would be out), they stand on the sidelines silent... whether out of fear (they're still there though), or hopeful that the caliphate will be worldwhile... don't know. They need to go too... sorry, can't trust ya, if you can't speak out against what's going on after all this... you don't deserve freedom. Seriously, when muslim 'organizations' issue even a half-*ss statement... it's usually a lie.

War is hell and there are things the public just shouldn't know.

Ahhh. Back to Juan.
That jerk and the rest of the self-hating, self-loathing, no morals dems and libs (except of course if it's terrorists, never mind the mass graves of the Kurds and the rape/torture rooms), need to wake up or move their asses to the Middle East. They have the luxury of running their mouths when sons and daughters, fathers and mothers are giving their limbs and lives for their worthless behinds... they're busy bickering over hair gel, Tom's baby and profiling.

They act like we're supposed to sit here and get bombed... then do nothing. Is it going to take a Beslan here? Is it going to take some citizens practice of 2nd amendment rights publically at the next attempted Hez rally in Manhattan to set it off? Will it take hand to hand on our streets by citizens (my bad, they're too cowardly for that... they'll just blow up buses, subways or buildings while full of workers).
The demons have burned down 18 churches in Nigeria... including the main cathedral, did you hear that in the news? Not only was the nun (who was there for 20+ years helping muslims and training them to be nurses), killed... priests were killed as well. Did you see that on tv? I thought not.

The demons in Gitmo eat better than our troops (they're getting their teeth cleaned, colonoscopies, psychiatrist... will they need that one, while we're battling our insurance companies in the US for procedures). The collaborators here have more rights than citizens and get off in the name of 'understanding'. CAIR is nothing but the second parellel in establishing the caliphate. Those who have ears hear and eyes see.
Libs want understanding on why they hate us; The understanding should be for pre-emption... not for justification... there is none.

In Maryland/Virginia public schools, CAIR is getting the right for a girl to wear her burka (don't wear a shirt with Christ on it though), next it will be a prayer room (a la California), they've already taken on McDonalds in Michigan and the military is building a mosque for muslim military (when in the past all services were held in the same room), while the ACLU does their best to remove battlefield chaplains. I guess next our nurses will be wearing the scrub burkas (as in England). I'ts time for muslims to stop coming to the great satan (which they hate), for education (in engineering, biochem, aeronautics... wonder why they need those?), and to spread their sharia bit by bit... and go to their home countries where they do have the laws wanted.

I feel sorry for the next lib that makes the unfortunate mistake (like the truthers found out at WTC site this past 9-11), of coming into my face with the bull, they will find out what their mamas look like and will need counseling for a while after.
