abc radio report said it. I was paraphrasing. Allegedly some of the message are graphic depictions of sexual organs he made to these 16 year olds.
Yes, he also WAS chair of the missing and exploited kids committee. He was outed years ago too by one of the gay mags. The party knew this could come back and bite them. It has been an open secret about him and a California congressman as well being gay. The 16 year old part is the only thing that shocks anybody in DC.

"A: If I had to choose three accomplishments during this current term that have and will have the most impact on people, they probably would be: 1) getting my child protection legislation enacted into law to better track and punish sexual predators"
That was Foley's response to this year's SW Florida Herald-Tribune's questionnaire, which asked, "What were your three most importamt accomplishments during this current legislative term?" http://www.vgt2004.org/a-heraldtribune06/candidate-detail.go?id=4157507
So he's s sexual predator passing himself off as a Protector of Children. Guys like that DESERVE jail time.

Nobody with a prominent career in politics will want anything to do with this election... Here's how you overcome this negativity.
First, the governor calls for a special election to fill Foley's seat for the lame duck session. The special election is held simultaneously with the general election on November 7.
Second, the Republicans coordinate the two elections with one campaign. The candidate will have his/her own name in the special election, and the campaign ads will say that the vote for Foley in the general election is also a vote for the candidate in the special election.
This overcomes the hurdle you speak of.

I've said different things. I am responding to what posters are posting. So, excuse me.... cc has blankety blank for brains. Our next governor is going to be bad, no matter who wins.

"Yes, Florida is about to elect a gay republican."
That's a pretty serious accusation without proof or admission. Of course there is that little issue of your personal bitterness after your boy Gallagher got beat in the primary. I'm getting sick of reading your anti Crist posts on FR long after the primary. Lick your wounds and go away. Be glad I'm not an admin moderator because I would have banned you weeks ago.

Everybody will know that a vote for Foley is a vote for Jeb Bush, and it will be an easy GOP hold. Moving right along, it DOES depend who the replacement candidate is and it needs to be someone with instant cred, and there is the little problem that there is Jupiter Island up to Ft. Pierce and some Palm Beach burbs on one side, and Port Charlotte on the other. The other thingy is just how much of a cat's meow the Dem is. If it is someone with the looks of Jerry Nadler, the termperment of Congressman Moran, and the ethics of Congressman Jefferson, it may not be an easy bag for them.

Anyone seen what is posted on Drudge? Ugh, what a weirdo thing to ask a kid. And the kid's response is just as weird.

Thanks for a real name. It might be wise to go with a woman considering what Foley did may sway a woman from casting that vote under the Foley name.
Mary McCarty, County Commissioner
Hello and welcome to my Web site. In 1990, I was elected to serve on the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, District 4. Currently, I am serving my fifth and final term for which I was recently reelected without opposition. My career in politics started in 1974 as an intern to U.S. House Majority Leader Thomas "Tip" O'Neil, and from 1987 - 1990, I was a City Commissioner and Vice Mayor in Delray Beach. I have been a resident of Palm Beach County for over 37 years and live in Delray Beach with my husband, Kevin McCarty.
