Yes 'tis true of chocolate as well as sugar. But don't they most often go hand in hand? Believe it or not, I snack on unsweetened baking chocolate squares. They are very high in antioxidants, low in carbs and have some fat in them. It is an ok kind of fat as opposed to the saturated fat kind. At first when eating them I just about gagged at the bitter taste and had to add a bit of honey. Now I can take them straight. I much prefer Hershey's brand, though, of what I have tried from the grocery stores.

Good speech today. "Cut and run" sounds fantastic. He might add that periodically they change it to "cut and walk" or "cut and talk" but the idea is the same--leave our enemies in control sufficient to do us great harm.
Somehow we also need someone to point out that the animosity for the President has exceeded all bounds including the desire of some of the elected Democrats to plot and plan with the MSM an Iraq defeat.
To: txrangerette
you can actually eat a baking chocolate without tossing your cookies?????? Man, those things are bitter!
To: Jewels1091; txrangerette
Cooking chocolate in Britain is much different I think to yours because ours is not bitter it is just a chocolate flavoured candy a bit like the cheap chocolate flavoured sweets that they make for children and is quite sweet.
In Britain they are often in the shape of tools or animals etc.
British Cooking chocolate is horrible IMHO and no true cook in Britain uses it they always use a good quality bittersweet chocolate (or as we call it plain or dark chocolate).

we have semi-sweet chocolate chips we use for cookies, but there is also the baker's chocolate that is horrible! It amazes me that you can put it in a recipe and have good tasteing treats!! You guys made me hungrey for chocolate so I had to go make my 2 minute fudge, it's setting in the fridge right now!! Can't wait!!

I just finished watching a TV show [Shark] where one of the main characters, a cop, also looked like an ex-football player. Then I look at the Dose and see a real life cop the same size!

No...don't worry. I've been painting the gazebo "Mayor Nagin Dark Chocolate" this time! ;-) We had to take the dome off the gazebo so I could paint the frame. AND we had a new kitchen window put in. I have a messy kitchen right now. I just took a bath (finally) ha ha...and I'm pooped.
I'm turnin' in...

Last I heard, the bill passed and was on its way to POTUS. I took the evening off to watch a movie and the new James Woods' series "Shark."
