For Bill Clinton, the best defense is always a good offense.
Thats the Clinton the nation saw Sunday, pointing his finger and reprimanding Fox News Chris Wallace for the crime of aggressively questioning the former president about his role in fighting terrorism and his failure to go after Osama bin Laden.
They [the Bush administration] had eight months to try [and] they did not try. I got closer to killing him than anybodys gotten since, he said.
Perhaps someone should have reminded Clinton that close only counts in horseshoes. But that aside, a day later Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice attempted to set the record straight. So why the Clinton hissy-fit and why the attempt now to rewrite the sorry history of his own administration?
Well, perhaps Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) tipped her hand when she said, I just think that my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take this.
With the mid-year elections coming up, maybe the only defense for Dems is a good offense.

I was just elsewhere where a Brit just claimed conservatives can't back up their statements with facts.
That was posted right after a long list of facts with sources. Then they went on to say look what happens to Blair when he lies and so forth.
I think there is a lot of projection of their views that makes some folks cancel out the evidence of facts.
They want their issues, not the facts or truth.
If they are proved to be supporting a lie, their whole persona is made to look foolish IMO and liberals can't stand that IMO.

Well the nice thing is this was the title of a real news article and that is good form the main stream press.
It was real cute, more like "You want to kill Santa?" Whaaaaaaa!
That is exactly what her husband said regarding taking Osama Bin Laden and look how that hurt us all.
Hey......cut the guy some slack. He almost sorta kinda thought about maybe trying once, ok??????? Sheesh...............some people.................
He was too busy making stains on blue dresses
One more time for Bubba:
Perjury, obstruction of justice; loss of law license (for just 5 years- too bad) and the right to EVER argue a case before the SC; drug dealing, Mena, Dan Lassiter, Don Tyson and the "Dixie mafia"; Hillary; Travelgate; sexual harrassment and breaking his OWN laws re: sexual harrassment in the workplace; misconduct and rape charges; Somalia, Bosnia; aspirin factories and Chinese embassies; lying to the American people and wagging fingers; smarmy theatrics and crocodile tears, quivering lips (gross!);phony "surpluses" and recession; eight years under attack and appeasement; not ONE thing of ANY value accomplished under his presidency- NOT ONE THING; Impeachment and one lucky break from the Senate.
Carved in stone.
To get the real assessment of the job Bill did in confronting terrorism, all you have to do is read the OpEd column from Mr. Connor in today's NY Post. That says it all.
Well, perhaps Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) tipped her hand when she said, I just think that my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take this. Can they not hear themselves?! Time and again the Dems tell us how MAD they are at Bush, the Republican Congress, Rumsfeld, Fox News, etc. etc. etc. With the mid-year elections coming up, maybe the only defense for Dems is a good offense.
For all their indignation, there's one glaring omission: they never express anger at the real enemies. Thugs cut off an American's head...Dems rail against spying on terrorists. Blow up a few Iraqis and the Dems demand Rumsfeld resign. Try to blow up a bunch of American airliners (and get caught), and the Dems go on and on about Bush trying to frighten the public. Do they really think Americans don't notice this pattern? The only people they never get mad at are the perpetrators.
For the life of me I can't understand their picking this battle at this time. Logic tells me the Dems plan to return to the "War Room" days and roll out Begala, Carville, McAwful, etc. Clinton's interview was designed to loose the binds that restrain former presidents from entering the political fray. The Dems think they're putting in their A-Team. They fail to anticipate the easy GOP response: "See, that's the only 'War Room' Dems seem to embrace. They hone their attacks on their American opponents while thoroughly failing to present a comprehensible plan for fighting the real war."
..AND HANDGRENADES!
The dumbing down of America continues..
......and shaves
" . . . a few other times other nations were offering to hand him over for jail or whatever and Clinton said NO NO NO."
I could swear that Hillary said, ON CAMERA, that they did not have any reason to take OBL; they didn't have enough proof of his crimes.
