Take Note of This Name: Adnan el Shukrijumah

Hamid Mir, one of Pakistan's leading television and newspaper reporters, and an internationally acclaimed journalist, has interviewed countless political VIPs all over the globe -- Pakistan’s President Musharraf and former Prime Minister Bhutto, Afghanistan’s President Karzai, as well as Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, and Richard Armitage, among numerous others.

His most noteworthy interview was with Osama bin Laden, in November of 2001. He is the last known journalist to have interviewed bin Laden, and he is currently putting the finishing touches on a bin Laden biography, to be released later this year.

This man is not a flash-in-the-pan would-be journalist who is looking for his fifteen minutes of fame. Anything but.

Mir’s prophetic reports of last year, generally rebuffed by most in the mainstream media, regarding the resurgence of the Taliban with support from Iran and Russia, have generally panned out in recent months.

Mir appeared on the Glenn Beck show today and spoke about the political and military situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan, terrorist threats to America and Europe and the probability of coming al-Qaeda attacks.

Earlier this month, Mir interviewed Abu Dawood, one of the newly appointed commanders of the al-Qaeda ‘insurgents’ in Afghanistan. The interview took place on the outskirts of Kabul, at a time when Mir was traveling as an embedded reporter with British troops.

According to Mir, final preparations are being made for another (‘larger than 9/11’) attack on the U. S.

He warned that, during the interview, he was told the following:

Muslims living in the United States are being warned by high al-Qaeda operatives to leave the U.S.

The next major terrorist attack on American soil will be commandeered by Adnan el Shukrijumah, who already has a $5 million FBI reward (click on link) on his head.

El Shukrijumah is a Saudi national, but has spent most of his life in the U.S. His parents live in Florida.

The FBI believes that el Shukrijumah has been trained extensively in al-Qaeda camps, as a terrorist organizer and field commander, to lead and plan a terrorist assault in the same way that Mohammed Atta was brought up through the ranks before he operationally organized and led the 9/11 hijackings.

El Shukrijumah was last seen in southern Florida area in the spring of 2003. The FBI does not know his whereabouts today.

The al-Qaeda ‘soldiers’ (many of whom have adopted Christian or Jewish names) who will launch this attack are located in cities throughout America, preparing, training, and awaiting orders from high al-Qaeda operatives.

Al-Qaeda and the Taliban will initiate a major strike against American and British forces in Afghanistan during Ramadan (September 24th through October 24th).

Below are the answers to just two of the questions Mir posed to Dawood. I am excerpting them here because I believe them to be the answers that most require our attention and analysis:

I met Adnan [el Shukrijumah] in early 2004, in Khost. He came to Khost from the North Waziristan … He is very well known in al-Qaeda. He is an American and a friend of Muhammad Atta, who led 9/11 attacks five years ago … He is very brave and intelligent. Bush is aware that brother Adnan has smuggled deadly materials inside America from the Mexican border. Bush is silent about him, because he doesn't want to panic his people ...

... Americans will not win this war, which they have started against Muslims. Americans are the biggest supporters of the biggest terrorist in the world, which is Israel. You have witnessed the brutality of the Israelis in the recent 34-day war against Lebanese civilians. 9/11 was a revenge of Palestinian children, killed by the US-made weapons, supplied to Israel. The next attack on America would be a revenge of Lebanese children killed by US-made cluster bombs. Bush and Blair are the Crusaders, and Muslim leaders, like Musharraf and [Afghani President Hamid] Karzai are their collaborators. We will teach a lesson to all of them ...

... We have a different plan for the next attack. You will see. Americans will hardly find out any Muslim names, after the next attack. Most of our brothers are living in Western countries, with Jewish and Christian names, with passports of Western countries. This time, someone with the name of Muhammad Atta will not attack inside America, it would be some David, Richard or Peter.

I believe that Mir is reporting Dawood’s words as they were spoken. The question is, can we believe Dawood? Al-Qaeda generally does not forecast its atrocities. But if this interview is evidence that their leadership is changing its tack, American vigilance, preparedness and deterrence were never more imperative. And politically correct anti-terrorist policies were never more potentially deadly.

All nationals of KSA, Yemen, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt should have been declared persona non grata in September 2001 and detained until their deportation could be facilitated.

It is insane that any are still here, and it is beyond insane that more are coming.

Does anybody know if Mir is the fellow that Beck interviewed a couple times last week? I'm not great with names, but I think it's the same guy, at least he was saying the same things that this report mentions. He seemed like a credible reporter.

Not to mention that our southern border is still open.

That's a political catastrophe for Bush, if the worst occurs.

To me this looks like a great example of a strategic information operation. The supposed "strikewarn" to Muslims living in America could be calculated to heighten the possibility of mistreatment of those folks at the hands of the government and public, possibly resulting in further radicalization of at least segments of that population. The announcement of another major attack, with the added factor of possible WMD, is a strike at the nation's morale, hoping to further exacerbate political divisions.

I've been a little "obsessed" with this potential threat since last fall. I really felt that the Superbowl in Detroit was going to be hit with a dirty bomb because of its location next to the Canadian border. Thankfully, I was wrong (or perhaps something was thwarted)

Since then I've been posting his pictures and info on craigslist's rants and raves section in various cities. http://detroit.craigslist.org/rnr/207132376.html

Just this week I was contacted by a guy in Las Vegas who said he saw him outside a home that has a large group of men living there. He gave me the address. I told him to contact the local FBI office. I hope he does.

Interestingly, I checked out threats to Las Vegas and there have been reports that the Luxor hotel is something very offensive to Al Zawahiri (#2 guy) who is Egyptian. It is a replica of a pyramid and features among other things a striptease show called "Fantasy." http://www.spiritoftruth.org/luxor.htm

I have a gut-level feeling that this latest mention of DC and NYC is an intentional plot to throw off the FBI.

G'morning joanie and thanks for the background and the heads up. Our domestic Islamic brethren have been awfully quiet, eh? I suspect most of 'em are waiting on the other shoe. I'm probably not the first to suggest it's not a matter of if, but when we will be hit again....

That said, I've got a daughter and three grandbabies in the air as we type/speak. I'll be leaving shortly, headed to Bush Intercontinental in Houston to pick 'em up. Anxious? A little.

Regards,

100% agreed. I can't help but notice that those here on the forum who are forever chanting that, no matter one's disappointments with the Bush administration, we must recognize that he is effective in dealing with the war on Islamic fascism.

While I am in general agreement with the way he is prosecuting the war in Iraq, an American leader cannot successfully prosecute the 'war or terror' without closing our (especially southern) border(s) ... and physically closing them yesterday, as opposed to sometime in the future with lip service.

Note Dawood's comment that 'He [el Shukrijumah] ... has smuggled deadly materials inside America from the Mexican border.'

To me, that is the most disturbing revelation in this entire interview, because he and his accomplices remain free to continue to do so into the foreseeable future.

I don't watch Glenn Beck regularly, but I would imagine that, if the fellow you caught last week was saying the same things, it must have been Mir.

And I agree with you that he seems credible. He has an untarnished international reputation as a journalist (and one with something of a conservative bent, from what I gather), has the capability of interviewing just about anyone he cares to, and doesn't need publicity in order to make a name for himself.

The Republicans can kiss the Oval Office and majority status goodbye for at least the next 20 years if something bad does happen and it's traced to the Mexican border.

That crossed my mind as well. But then I thought that that strategy would work against radical Islam in that it would presumably unite the rest of us, and put the politically correct garbage (a la McCain and company's bogus Geneva Convention concerns) to rest.

But, at the same time, this is getting so little (actually almost no) press that that consideration is all but moot.

You may be onto something, at least in part, because Balkanization is one of the most powerful strategies in their repertoire -- and is also being embraced by the American left, for politically opportunistic reasons (and the heck with the safety and sovereignty of our republic).

I've bookmarked your links for reading later today. Was not aware that anyone here on FR was intimately aware of this situation, let alone sounding the alarm.

Your communication with the fellow in Las Vegas gave me a chill.

Our government has dropped the ball in so many ways in this war (especially as regards our porous southern border) that I believe that it is actions and activism such as yours that will prevent at least some of the atrocities that el Shukrijumah and his malevolent ilk have planned. Thank you for what you are doing.

I will get back to you (on your threads, even though they may appear to have run their course) after I have read what is included in your links.

I can identify! Our daughter flies to Bangkok (and will be flying to Nairobi, Kenya later in the year) on business (she is a research/documentation specialist working under contract for the Army).

I have to admit that I suffer from bouts of insomnia that last roughly as long as her feet are off of American soil, but I've been known to sleep for as long as sixteen hours straight once they're back. :)

Continued best to you and yours, FGS ...

I wouldn't say that I'm intimately aware of it, only that I became aware of it last year and have been trying to keep up on the latest news about him. There seems to be alot of conflicting speculation on where he presently is....USA, Trinidad, Canada, or Pakistan...not exactly the same neighborhoods. :-)

I lived in Canada and drive often through Toronto and Montreal on business. Great cities, but politically there is alot of anti-Americanism, particularly in the media. There are very large Islamic communities as there are here near Detroit. So Arabs crossing the borders between MI and ON is pretty routine stuff. The Canadian intelligence acknowledges that terror cells and/or funding of terrorists are a big problems in Canada. Logistically it makes sense for AQ to set up operations there in preparation for future attacks. I've been accused of being on the "blame Canada" wagon. I don't think I am...only that even more than here they are living ion a pre-9/11 mentality. I do think that the recent Toronto terror cell has awoken many to the threat. As for Las Vegas as a target...no idea...

If you come across other info/updates please fill me in. Thanks.

We're so busy screaming about closing our southern border that a lot of us forget to look north.

Thanks for the info.
