BTT. I had a Pong game too. The problem with the ones in the bars was that they didn't design the coin buckets large enough and the dang things jammed. Free Republic is like that.

Thanks for a reliable source of real news that the daily stories and editorial pages never offer.

I remember that, too. A lot of times that had to be done!
And I remember how everybody griped every single time Jim and John and Amy made improvements to the site!

Congratulations and a heartfelt THANK YOU for the best website of its kind.

I think so, some sort of pop up thingy?

I found FR on the old Drudge link, and started lurking in 1997. This is THE site for getting accurate news, inspired opinion, coordinated action, and just plain fun. My favorite memory is the night the SCOTUS delivered the decision in Bush v. Gore. The reporters were stammering on the steps to the Supreme Court trying to figure out the decision and spin it to Gore's advantage. After some moments of frustration watching TV, I logged onto FR and read the actual decision. Hubby and I were celebrating the win while the reporters continued to stammer and obfuscate. Happy 10th anniversary and many decades more!

Thank you so very much for Free Republic.
It was great to have you with us tonight at Walter Reed Medical Center. It was a great crowd. I am glad you could come to share the event with us.
Happy Birthday FR!!

Don Morgan became an anti-freeper, and then got sucked into a black hole. He's long gone long time now. CaL too.
