Has anyone thought about this:
People don't want to just assasinate the President of the United States they want to assasinate US!
My question about Dave Gregory - and I'm serious, is... given that DG's an obnoxious little snot, who thinks it's his right to debate (not question) the President, why doesn't the President simply NOT call on him, the way they stopped calling on Helen Thomas? What are they afraid of, bad publicity from ABC? They already get that.
Okay.......I'll turn it on.
I'm heading out again; I'm going to my grandson's school to learn the "procedure" so I can pick him up after school some days.
I guess I really ought to dress up a little bit, huh? :-)
Odds are high that the Dems/media will jump on the 'Third Awakening' reference to try and whip up a tangential non-issue controversy. The Clinton strategy, when beaten on an issue convulse into false outrage over a tiny nothing spun into a divisive and distracting debate.
Why the press does what it does can never be explained to a rational person.
Good pick-up
Was waiting for a tidbit, but it was just small talk. Not a CNN live mike in the ladies room moment.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Captured al-Qaeda leader Khalid Shaikh Mohammed finally broke his silence Tuesday after U.S. and Pakistani officials made offhand remarks comparing the terrorist to famed porn star Ron Jeremy during a 12 hour interrogation.
"He just suddenly lost it," Special Ops Lt. Col Henry Gibson said. "This apparently was a sore subject. We hit a nerve."
The suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Shaikh Mohammed was captured last week by US and Pakistani forces and is considered to be the No. 3 man in the al-Qaeda terrorist organization. He also bears an uncanny resemblance to veteran porn actor Ron Jeremy, known in the adult industry as "The Hedgehog."
According to sources, nearly a dozen expert interrogators and translators were flown in to extract information from the the tight-lipped leader. After 12 hours they were about to call it a day when a security officer let the comment slip.
"The prisoner barely even speaks English," Gibson said. "But when someone pointed out that [Mohammed] looks just like the star of 'The Sperminator' and 'Dr. Sphincter' films, the guy just started screaming and cursing like a lunatic."
Pakistani translator Ahmed Hajman worked feverishly to translate dozens of expletives from the standard Arabic into English.
"He's been unfairly compared to Ron Jeremy his whole life and he just reached his breaking point," Hajman explained. "For years he's been working to change his image and no matter what he does, he still looks just like that fat American actor with the giant shlong. He's very upset."
Gibson admits when he first saw the captured al-Qaeda leader, it was the first thing that popped in his head, but he didn't say anything out of fears of acknowledging his love for pornography -- and in particular, the vast film library of Ron Jeremy.
"I suppose when you become the third ranked leader in the largest terrorism network in the world, you might find the comparison insulting," Gibson acknowledged. "Personally, I would be flattered."

There is one big difference. Rockefeller didn't have us.
Rush said, and I think it's a good idea:
Make the Democrats go on record with what kind of interrogation they don't approve of, instead of trying to come up with what's legal.
LOL -- I'll talk to you later. Yes, do get dressed...lol.
Is it true that they are saying that even playing loud music to detainees is torture?
The President is given the leading and dominant role for war powers by the Constitution for very good reason. When we review the history of how the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary era was frequently incompetent and drowning in indecision, nearly losing the war, it is easy to see why the founders at the Constitutional Convention wanted the executive to have nearly unilateral powers of executing war-making...... they had experienced first-hand how a "committee" of dozens or hundreds is not the way to win a war.
The President ask last week for a list from congress
