This is SO good! Really hitting back against the Dems and their weak policies and especially bringing in ex-Carter officials to deal with Iran....didnt they botch this up the first time?

Unfortunately, many of the hardcore libs today either have amnesia or have not been born yet during the Carter administration.
To: HastertFan
The reason that the democrats are so intransigent is they try to cover up the horrible errors of Carter and Clinton. America is suffering from the Carter and Clinton errors and we will do so for years to come as we get back on the road to righteousness as an ideal for the world, rather than a victim of evil.

Good for Chairman Hyde for giving condemnation where condemnation is due.

I agree this is excellent. Yes, Carter did botch things up the first time. And I think there is a linear thread from Carter to Khomeini to terrorism today. Causes precede effects, sometimes by a long time. Carter let the Jihadist Genie out of the bottle when he favored Khomeini over the regime of the Shah.

The GOPers are punching hard. First Bush, then Rummy, then Cheney, then Boehner, now Hyde.
Keep up the onslaught. The bastards more than deserve it.

Is it possible that testosterone has finally been injected into the GOP? There has been a lack of gonads for eons. About time the GOP went on offense instead of playing idiotic defense with these anti-American POS.
To: Rapscallion
In his 1982 presidential memoir, Carter cited as his biggest mistake "allowing Ronald Reagan to become President of the United States."
Carter is the worst thing to happen to this country and in my opinion, bears a good portion of the blame for September 11, 2001.

Great, but is it getting any exposure in the media - in other words, are the people hearing this or do you have to "hunt" for it?

The dems never like or admit to the truth. Poor Hyde will nailed to the stake on all of the news talk shows now. He did a superb job telling it like it is!

Carter also gutted our intelligence services in the 70's
I think he may very well have been our worst President...a total opportunist in the wake of Watergate.

And America's biggest mistake was allowing Peanut to become president.

Carter the peanut head did not allow Regan to become president, the American people allow Regan to become president.
And, I might add, the best president during my life time.

A little tell it like it is....... If only the Repubs would do more of it I think the public would get behind them thus giving the democrats a real pause to reflect on what they are doing. jmo.

This is SO good! Really hitting back against the Dems and their weak policies and especially bringing in ex-Carter officials to deal with Iran....didnt they botch this up the first time? Then why is he quitting at this crucial time? His district may go over to the Dems this November.
To: HastertFan
When the next Democratic Administration took office, the pattern continued. Secretary of State Albright appeared at a pro-Iranian banquet to apologize for past American behavior, proposing "better relations." But the Iranians, who declared us their mortal enemies upon seizing power, would have none of it.
