And just another strong opponent with regards to everything else. I guess I'm glad I don't have to make such a choice. We have enough problems here in Iowa with that puke Tom Harkin. Can't stand that weasel. (Almost said "man," but then found a more accurate term.)
You're thinking of Zogby, who reported today "Sen. Joe Lieberman, who is running as an independent in Connecticut, has seen his lead over Democrat Ned Lamont shrink from 10 points in August to four points in the new poll.
That's too bad.
I really would like to see these two duke it out until election day spending a gazillion dollars trying to win a 'safe dem seat'.
The libs will go nuts when Lieberman wins this thing.

Schlesinger is improving as well! LOL, he nearly doubled his support, up from 4%.
I don't think you'll be disappointed. With Howard Dean throwing the DNC solidly behind Lamont, and with all the top Dims openly pulling for Lamont, they have no choice but to keep pouring money into a lost cause, even though they still get a solid liberal if they lose. If they give up on Lamont, the looney tunes will openly revolt.
#1. The WOT is the most important issue facing the nation, by far. If we don't get this right, nothing else matters.
#2. If Lieberman wins, the Moonbats will walk away from the Democrat Party, consigning them to permanent minority status. This is a good thing.
And furthermore, there is much less of a chance for the Dems to regain control of the Senate, since Lieberman is now an Independent.
I would expect Lieberman would continue to caucus with the Democrats, even though he is running as an Independent. Jumpin' Jim Jeffords, for whom I am screen-named, after a fashion, is also an Independent, but he caucuses with the Democrats.
The thing is, in Primaries, you vote for the guy you want. In General Elections, you vote against the guy you don't want. We don't want Lamont, so you vote for the guy who is better than Lamont and has a chance to beat him. If the Republican candidate was not polling in the single digits, I would be enthusiastic about picking up the seat. But only one man can beat Ned Lamont, and that man is Joe Lieberman. That is why he has so much Joe-mentum going into November.
Besides, and honest old-school Liberal is not such a bad thing to have around, when compared to the collection of Moonbat Idiots who pass for the Democrat Party today.
A Republican cannot win.

When it comes to national elections, I am a one issue voter: America's survival.
A social liberal who is strong on national defense and the GWOT is far and away superior to Red Ned, an out-and-out Communist who would appease the terrorists and surrender America's sovereignty to the U.N. gleefully.

Said this from the begining.. Lamont will be lucky if he gets 35% of the vote on election day... Leiberman is going to clean his clock.
Leftist idiots are just relearning what they were taught with the McGovern campaign.
The more Lamont opens his mouth, the lower in the polls he's going to go.
Given that the Republican cannot win the seat, Lieberman is a much-preferred second choice.
Rule #1 in politics: dance with those who brung ya. If Lieberman is re-elected with substantially more GOP and independent votes, that will affect his votes in the Senate moving forward. He will move to the right on more public policy issues.
Lieberman will stay a RAT, but he will select many opportunities to pay-back the party leadership for abandoning him. He will likely become the RAT's Chafee.
Moreover, Hadassah is furious that this has happened to Joe, given the years of dedicated service he has given to the Democratic Party. Indeed, the RATS are going to quickly find that they need Joe a lot more than he will need them come November 8.

I don't know about that. The moonbats over at DU were saying screw ABC after "The Path to 9/11" was aired, and that they were never going to watch again. A couple days later when Rosie O'Dingbat said that radical Christians were worse than radical Muslims on "The View," an ABC show that they all watch, although they all claimed they were done with ABC, they were all giving praise to Rosie O'Dumba$$. So, I doubt they'll stray too far from the plantation, as Hiltlery would say. They have nowhere else to go.
