Lieberman Leads by 13 in Connecticut Senate Race (Survey USA)
Survey USA ^ | 12 September | Survey USA

Posted on 09/12/2006 6:46:28 PM PDT by okstate

If the election for United States Senator from Connecticut were today, and you were standing in the voting booth right now, who would you vote for? Republican Alan Schlesinger? Democrat Ned Lamont? Independent Joe Lieberman? Or some other candidate?

7% Schlesinger (R)
38% Lamont (D)
51% Lieberman (I)
1% Other
2% Undecided

Poll was taken of 572 likely voters from September 9th to 11th in Connecticut.

"16% of Democrats who voted for Lieberman in the Primary switch to Lamont in the General."

That number is not nearly high enough for Lamont to have a shadow of a chance in this race. I'd say Lieberman has a fairly easy win lined up.

poll says 13% - means that he will win probably by at least 25%!

Looks like Minnesota will NOT be sending the first Muslim to the US house. Keith Ellison running 4th in a three horse race.

And he was the DFL party endorsed candidate.

WOOT!!!

Survey USA generally leans heavily left, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Lieberman's actual lead a few points larger. But this poll is useful in that it shows Lamont getting no support outside of the psycho moonbat left.

If he wins by a sizable margin it would be an incredible blow to the psyche of the moveon.org controlled dems.

After crowing about the lamont victory in the primaries, this is going to be a hell of a hard landing for them - will need to put grief counselors and the psychiatric wards on red alert.

"Survey USA generally leans heavily left"

Completely untrue. In 2004 Survey USA was just as accurate as Rasmussen and Mason-Dixon, if not moreso, and those three trounced any other state pollsters out there (ARG, Zogby, Gallup, Quinnipiac, etc..)

I'm not a fan of "polls" so I hope this is close to being true! Little Neddy is going to have to go back to being a cable guy. LOL!

FLASHBACK from the day after that primary (looking pretty good so far):

Overall, 55% of Connecticut voters trust Lieberman more than Lamont when it comes to the War on Terror. Thirty-one percent (31%) trust Lamont.

Here, I Predict the vote in November:
55% Lieberman
31% Lamont
12% GOP whats-his-name
_2% Green whats-his-name

Hey Moonbats!

You gonna stand for that?

The Democrat Party doesn't love you anymore!

They're embarrassed by you.

They take you for granted.

You deserve a better party... One that loves you for who you are and doesn't just take what they want and leave you in the lurch.

The Green Party loves you. The Green Party respects you. The Green Party will give you everything you ever wanted in a political party.

It's time to ditch the Democrat Party and go where you're wanted...

I am just amazed at how excited Republicans are getting over the prospects of a huge liberal such as Lieberman getting re-elected. While its a good thing that Lieberman has been supportive of the WOT, he's pretty much voted lock, stock and barrel with everything else the Dems stand for. So, I don't really get this whole idea of going ga-ga for Lieberman.

Whoops, you're right. I had them confused with ARG, whose poll results tilted so far left they were laughable.

But the second part of my statement still stands. Lamont hasn't gained anything with moderate Dims and CT GOP voters. His only real hope is for the GOP candidate Schlesinger to siphon off enough Republicans from Lieberman to effectively split the GOP vote. That's not happening either.

We could wish for that but I see the union thugs loading the DUmmies from all over the nation onto buses and taking them to the polls in Connecticut. If they are not allowed to "vote," they'll scream "disenfranchisement" and the "recounts" will begin and go on...and on...and on. America is really into letting people vote as many times as they want anywhere they want these days.

A Republican was never going to win this, but a Lieberman win is one less Democrat, and one more strong supporter of the Bush foreign policy.

For me, it's not so much excitement at seeing Lieberman getting re-elected, as it is seeing Howard, Hillary, Harry and the Kos Krowd take another one in the shorts.
