I will not be here for the first hour of tonights program. Thought I would put it up for those FReepers overseas that are viewing it now.
For those who wish to see the clips the Clinton lawyers complained about, Click here
Do they mean U.S. owned airlines? If so, under what authority would they deny airline travel to millions of American citizens, including members of the Armed Forces?
I can't answer the weapons question, but I doubt they were heading that way to whistle dixie (with apologies to Clint Eastwood). I think that they meant business, but weapons load wasn't visible.
Someone posted a link to a blog column - apparently a number of people, including an NYC resident who is a friend of mine, reported that the sound of the metal bending and snapping as the towers came down was awful, a sound like the end of the world. Apparently, the news cameras didn't capture the noise. No conspiracy theory, just an observation by people there.
That would help a lot! Did the comission mention that at all?
All in all I thought the movie was well done and didn't hurt Bush at all imo. Devastating to the Clinton cronies and abc agencies.
"And here comes the Brian Ross hit piece (AN stored within a mile or two
from the White House)."
It may be a partisan hit-piece.
But I'm also glad if it scares folks into being more vigilant and
not let complacency sneak in after five years of fighting these pukes.
That's because one guvmint agency challenged some employees to try
to cobble together a bioreactor system that could POTENTIALLY start
cranking out liters of nasty bugs.
The agency was shocked when the inexpert group did it with off-the-shelf parts
in a couple of weeks and for about $1 million.
I think I only saw this reported once on a TV show (NBC Dateline?)
in the mild panic soon after 9-11 when the anthrax was popping up.
If people keep their radar up...and drop a dime when something just seems
really wrong...that's a good thing.
Even if we have to suffer Brian Ross.
Just my opinion.
Right after 9/11 China banned people from 60 different countries from flying on their planes. No political correctness needed.
Whose planes are "our" planes?
The rather ugly bin Laden and the one eyed Mullah were probably jealous. The real Mashood was a pretty good looking guy, but not like that actor.
Lots of photos of him here
I wonder what rating we should give the Commission?
The History Channel has something on now- not one I've seen before..looks very good.
The Path to 9/11 was so well done- more of a "film" than a movie.
I thought we got sucked in. In the end, the whole thing turns out to be a Tom Kean propaganda piece.
I'm not disagreeing that it was riveting and an excellently done film. Let's see if the production wins any Emmys.
Bodine and Albright got thrown under the bus.
They were told do a McDougal.
Rumsfeld took a hit with Clarke's "Where's Runsfeld"
Cheney was made out to be a boob although it probably didn't change anything.
Condi was made out to be indecisive.
Clinton looked like crap and rightfully so.
Bush was ok.
Other than that, Clarke should be the Dem nominee on 2008 on a tough Democrat security platform.
Yeah, that guy looked like he had 20 years on Cheney!
Imagine Algore trying to give GWBush's speech
Imagine Hitlary trying to give GWBush's speech
Imagine Kerry trying to give GWBush's speech
it is laughable.
Reid and Pelosi are trying to SELL us on the notion they would have be better in a crisis WHEN the next attack happens.
Correction they are going to cut and run so they can appease the enemy into not attacking.
No wonder the democrats hate this miniseries. Even a "docudrama" we know is dramatized makes them conclusivly incompetent.
The firefighter tenor is singing on hannity. He is terrific.
I was thinking the same thing VOA
"And Pete King is an idiot. Ammonium nitrate IS NOT the al-Qaeda's choice of explosives. In fact, I can't think of a single al-Qaeda bombing that used ammonium nitrate."
