The percentage of Americans who blame the Bush administration for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington has risen from almost a third to almost half over the past four years, a CNN poll released Monday found.
Asked whether they blame the Bush administration for the attacks, 45 percent said either a "great deal" or a "moderate amount," up from 32 percent in a June 2002 CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.
But the Clinton administration did not get off lightly either. The latest poll, conducted by Opinion Research Corporation for CNN, found that 41 percent of respondents blamed his administration a "great deal" or a "moderate amount" for the attacks.
That's only slightly less than the 45 percent who blamed his administration in a poll carried out less than a week after the attacks.
Still, most Americans appear to be fatalistic, with more than half -- 57 percent -- saying they think that terrorists will "always find a way to launch attacks no matter what the U.S. government does."
The poll was carried out August 30 through September 2 by Opinion Research Corp. with 1,004 American adults questioned by telephone. The sampling error for the questions was 3%

B. Vice President Cheney
C. Karl Rove
D. Secretary of State Condi Rice
E. All The Above
Unanswered questions default to 'All The Above"
I wonder how the viewership of CNN has changed over the last four years and how that effects their poll results.
I will bet not one Republican was called for the poll.
Our government is required to provide funds for the common defense... not to wipe your a$$ with them.
We can thanks the media for misinforming people on history.
Sheesh, Clintoon can pick up the phone and force ABC to RE-WRITE HISTORY....pathetic.
By definition, half of all Americans are below average intelligence. And, I would estimate, half of the lower half enter college because of the simplistic demand for an "educated electorate" and the fatuous belief that all people entering college can be educated (capable of logical thought). Of the half with above average intelligence, many attend elitist universities where they are educated by subtle and not-so-subtle Marxists. The result? We neither have an educated public, nor an educated electorate.
The fact that 9/11 came as a surprise and shock to most Americans is proof positive that Americans were either stupid or poorly educated. One might forgive the former, but never the latter.
Take the poll after the ABC movie.
Adults, weekend and holiday poll = worth less than junk
The only people who watch CNN are ones stuck in airport bars, who watch a forced feed, and idiots.
Those morons invented the zero, but they got the millenium change mixed up.
Ain't that the truth.
Well, maybe a WELLSTONE memorial.
Incidently, there HAVE been liberal around these parts that this day should be more celbratory and fesitive.
Maybe Bill Maher is right. We are a nation of morons. Well, half the nation maybe.
Oh, and let me guess, the liberal pollsters have *OVER-SAMPLED* Democrat respondents as they usually do.
More filth.
Let me ask a hypothetical question: if the MSM were owned by Osama bin Laden, is there any more they would do to try to undermine the US and its leadership, more than they are doing now?
I doubt it.
Vanish forever from the face of the Earth?
More people have read Sutter Caine's novels than have read the Bible.
;)
Great reference. Fits aptly.
