Part one shown on Australian TV this evening.
Don't miss it, my Freeper friends. It's no wonder the Clintonistas have thrown everything at ABC/Disney, in a desperate effort to have the miniseries cancelled. Documents exactly what we've been following over the years on FR. Brave agents on the ground in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dedicated people at Langley and the J. Edgar Hoover building, working around the clock to capture or kill Bin Laden, Ramzi Yusef et al. And all their efforts derailed by Clinton appointees like Berger and Allbright- selfishly putting their own careers (and covering their asses) before protecting the USA. The line of the show delivered by the actor playing Masood, brave and charismatic leader of the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan:
...are there any men left in Washington? Or are they all cowards?....
Take the phone off the hook, and don't miss it. All the best, Byron
I find it outrageous that these cuts were made and just for American viewers.
Was part 2 as hard on Bush as part 1 was on clinton?
Berger the Burglar has no longer clouts. Strange that ABC would cave in to whitewash him.
Then again, even with Bush in the White House, Berger got a mere slap on the wrist in the burglary. He must have at least some clout, including with the present administration.
The problem with 'its just a movie' is that you've got hordes of folks, particularly here, running around saying "it is ALL true." Like the dumbasses who really think we should've launched a bunch of cruise missles over Pakistan without telling them, at a time when they were in a nuclear standoff with India.
The Aussies ARE us --honest, forthright, brave, freedom-loving -- or at least that's what we used to be like as a country before we wimped out & polical correctness came along.
>>Sounds like ABC went on their intial word and didn't edit the movie.<<
Rush Limbaugh said he has watched both versions, and the edits, whatever they were, didn't dampen its impact.
>>Sorry to say my friend the loonies will get there way .Klinton will censor the show and we all allowed it to happen. The Dem morons are organized and well on the way to controling what we see and hear on TV . The general public are sheep and will believe the Klinton version of history and basically ANYTHING the Dem party tells them are true. We here at FR are a handfull of people who actually KNOW what goes on . Most don't .Half the damn world believes 9/11 was a Bush plot. Sad to say it's our own fault. We dont fight back . The Dems had 200 tousand signatures at Disney in 2 days. Who did we have sticking up for the truth . We're lost in My opinion.<<
Aren't you glad to find out that you were wrong?
>>It's very difficult to be upbeat here in the NY Metro area.<<
Buck up, mi amigo. It's your surroundings.
>>The myth of the Clintonistas as flawless rulers has now been BUSTED!<<
No longer can they ever be viewed as "The Untouchables."
>>But when the first person started asking what we did to cause 911 I went balistic. It still makes my skin crawl and my blood pressure rise to hear questions like that.<<
Someone suggested this where I worked (a cubicle environment), shortly after 9/11.
I didn't exactly make a scene, but my voice was considerably louder than normal as I said we didn't do anything to deserve it and I couldn't believe the question.
Okay, so I made a scene.
In some places in the movie, you could tell where the edits were (insertion of the disclaimer, long pauses of black screen), but I agree, it was still powerful.
What's been the reaction in Australia to the docu-drama? I watched most of it. The movie was extremely well done. The bungling by the US government, especially at the top by both Clinton and Bush was made very clear. The nature of the enemy was very clear. Massood was the character who came off as the best, the brightest and the clearest thinking. He was a Muslim, murdered by the Muslim Bin Laden.
