Part one shown on Australian TV this evening.
Don't miss it, my Freeper friends. It's no wonder the Clintonistas have thrown everything at ABC/Disney, in a desperate effort to have the miniseries cancelled. Documents exactly what we've been following over the years on FR. Brave agents on the ground in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dedicated people at Langley and the J. Edgar Hoover building, working around the clock to capture or kill Bin Laden, Ramzi Yusef et al. And all their efforts derailed by Clinton appointees like Berger and Allbright- selfishly putting their own careers (and covering their asses) before protecting the USA. The line of the show delivered by the actor playing Masood, brave and charismatic leader of the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan:
...are there any men left in Washington? Or are they all cowards?....
Take the phone off the hook, and don't miss it. All the best, Byron
My misunderstanding. I somehow thought there was an FR thread about that DU post. Thanks anyway, I'll check it out as soon as I rinse out my hazmat suit and apply anti-wart cream.
Everytime I try to access your link IE crashes.
That is what the writer said...even if they cut out the Berger hang-up scene and the one with Albright and where Clinton is labeled as being distracted with Monica....even then, the whole movie is SO tilted as to make it anti-Clinton that the only way to fix it is to not run it at all.
Now, Bush doesn't come off smelling like a rose either, but much more so than Clinton.
And, Bush's speech will interrupt it tomorrow, so he will get to essentially air his side of the events while being criticized in the movie.
So, that is pretty flippin' sweet if you ask me.
ABC may have sent out notes saying the film would be edited to try to generate buzz, only to really have not edited any of the offending scenes out.
If I was ABC, at this point, I would be so angry that even if I was sensitive to their complaints, I would NOT be editing them out. To have somebody challenge my right to air what I want to air would piss me off so much I would air it unedited, even if I agree with the person complaining.
Those clips are circulating fast.
lol
Watch for ambulances -- Billy J will be heading to the hospital with heart problems.
Well, it shouldn't be too shocking since the writer is one of the few conservatives out there.
But, what is amazing is that ABC actually picked up this film despite his beliefs.
want it bet that the news networks give clinton equal time after the film airs???
Good point. The MSM won't pick it up or give it legs. It will die that way. I think you're right.
I figure there has to be a ton of truth in the movie to have the Clintoons and clintonistas howling all the way to Mars about it.
They are still advertising it at: http://www.abc.com
Those clips are circulating fast.
It's kinda funny in a way...the stupid Clintonoids have brought more attention to this film, they should have just kept their mouths shut.........
At least at first. If the Dems find out this thing really had an impact they might be forced to respond.
LOL! I do believe the cat is out of the bag.
I will be taping this tonight. If good enough, I will show the first part in my history classes tomorrow instead of the CNN America Remembers DVD my cooperating teacher wants to show (am student teaching).
These kids need to know what went on that ultimately led to 9/11. Now, it is not fair to ultimately blame Clinton for 9/11 (even if he took OBL out, somebody probably would have taken his place and maybe 9/11 would still have occurred), but his reckless disregard for the pursuit of Bin Laden no doubt helped Al Queda.
Probably because their collective heads have burst and their one brain cell that they pass back and forth between them is rolling around like mercury from a thermometer looking for its possible owner. ;-)
Of course they will. And Kirsten Britweiler and the Jersey Girls will be on ad nauseum to blame and bash Bush.
A network with any testicles would have some pro-Bush, pro-WOT family members on.
I'm not holding my breath and that goes for FoxNews too.
Teach the children Well...... and let them know what we stand for.
Teachers like you are forever in our debt.
God Bless You.
They obviously thought the movie was so damaging that they had to try to kill it.
The official ABC statement essentially said that.
They did not tie any edits to the criticism, but still made it vague enough that the media thought they left the door open to edits for that very reason.
Perhaps the edits were for flow etc. and not related to complaints at all.
We will see tonight.
