WASHINGTON - A furious Bill Clinton is warning ABC that its mini-series "The Path to 9/11" grossly misrepresents his pursuit of Osama bin Laden - and he is demanding the network "pull the drama" if changes aren't made. Clinton pointedly refuted several fictionalized scenes that he claims insinuate he was too distracted by the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal to care about bin Laden and that a top adviser pulled the plug on CIA operatives who were just moments away from bagging the terror master, according to a letter to ABC boss Bob Iger obtained by The Post.
The former president also disputed the portrayal of then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright as having tipped off Pakistani officials that a strike was coming, giving bin Laden a chance to flee.
"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has the duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely," the four-page letter said.
The movie is set to air on Sunday and Monday nights. Monday is the fifth anniversary of the attacks.
Based on the 9/11 commission's report, the miniseries is also being provided to high schools as a teaching aid - although ABC admits key scenes are dramatizations.
The letter, written by Bruce Lindsey, head of the Clinton Foundation, and Douglas Bond, a top lawyer in Clinton's office, accuses the ABC drama of "bias" and a "fictitious rewriting of history that will be misinterpreted by millions of Americans."
Clinton, whose aides first learned from a TV trailer about a week ago that the miniseries would slam his administration, was "surprised" and "incredulous" when told about the film's slant, sources said.

Those same people are happily looking forward to this Bush assassination film and calling it "a thought provoking critique" of the Bush administration.
I wonder who they exhumed to play Albright...ugh.
He's always been very clever, unlike his wife.
We've been ambushed before. If those republicans hadn't been distracting him with the Monica scandals, etc.
I hear that they are making some changes. IF I were the MSM though, hearing the drumbeat of (deserved) criticism that I was left leaning, I would counter by RARELY putting out something that was not complimentary to the left -- while maintaining the daily drumbeat of criticism of the right. Then when the right complained I'd say,"Hey, what about the 911 show, huh? How can you say we lean left when we did that?" So I think it's in their interest to stand up on this one so they can lie downon everything else. (Almost said "go down" but this is a family show ....)
You mean, the same Bruce Lindsey that mysteriously became too ill to testify during the Monica scandal? THAT Bruce Lindsey?
As they say in the Air Force, if you're taking flak, you must be over the target.
Me thinks Bubba doth protest too much.
Hah!
Two thoughts:
1) Dogs don't bark at parked cars.
2) Why is ABC, a bought and paid for member of the VLWC, working on anything that doesn't heap praise on the rats? The needle on the old BS meter is twitching. I bet it will flatter Bubba. This is false outrage to boost ratings.
Bill Clinton - The Eddie Haskell president.
Let me be the first to say it...
Clinton and his ilk would certainly know trash when it comes from a "trailer"...
If this Drama is as bad as they hyperventilate it is, then NY'ers may want to reconsider their choice for Senator in November.................
"Odd he didn't condemn the 9/11 Commission Report for saying much the same thing as this mini-series is purported to. Or did he just assume, rightly so, that few people would actually read it."
Bingo!...........and the media talking heads never really discussed it either.
ditto that!
We've certainly been fooled before, and had it explode in our face...(bad metaphor, I know :(

"It's a setup. It really makes Klinton out to be the hero, you just wait and see."
It's not a set-up, Rush has seen it and says it is damning. Clinton being hoisted on his own petard. Hollywood sticks it to Bubba! Pass the popcorn.
I agree untill proven otherwise. We have seen this game from bubba and the media before.
