Democrat Bob Beckel threatened Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld with violence today in a discussion on the Fox News Channel about Rumsfeld's speech last week relating the war on terror to World War 2.
Beckel said if Rumsfeld weren't Secretary of Defense and had federal protection, he'd "kick the dog out of him."
Beckel joined a growing number of Democrats who have reacted viscerally to Rumsfeld's remarks, even though Rumsfeld did not single out the Democratic party nor did he name any current Democrats as appeasers.
It's tough to tell the difference between a spokesperson of the Democratic party and a spokesperson of the WWF.
It's amazing that they still have followers.
Is Bob drinking again...
No kidding! Rummy needs to keep delivering that same speech and not change one word. To do otherwise would be simply caving in to the left's bullying by screams. We should all praise Rummy for telling it like it is and encourage him to keep it up.
I'm sure you're right, but Rummy would never threaten to kick the dog out of Beckel.
I don't even know what that means.
The worst Rummy would say is, "my goodness."
I'd kick the "dog" out of Beckel if I had the chance.
I don't remember that. I do remember that he was the one who floated the idea of "investigating" the pasts of Florida electors in 2000 in order to get some of them to vote for Gore. He tried to downplay it later, but I consider that he made the greatest threat to our electoral system in a long time.
I love it when the Dems get so incredibly stupid ON TELEVISION--right there...for all to see and hear.
What an idiot--and we're supposed to line up behind this joker's "judgment" of Rummy???
Show's Over: I see no good sense or judgment used here. I'll put MY faith in the grown ups, thank you.
Is this really worthy of a thread? I mean, c'mon it is hardly a threat.
Typical useless Democrat. Rummy is working for the nation, Democrats work for themselves.
What is Beckel going to send his hooker over to Rummy's house to beat him up?
Beckel always struck me as the union thug type. What class.
Sounds like that POS Beckel showed his true colors.
I'm shocked! Beckel seemed like such a jolly guy. He always smiled when he interrupted other guests.
Oh they are. They are by any definition.
Hey Bob:
I saw this a.m. on FNC that if Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld didn't have Federal protection you'd 'kick the dog out of him'.
Well, I don't have Federal protection. I'm just a plain old citizen and happen to like Donald Rumsfeld a lot; a lot more than I like you, you socialist scumbag.
So, why don't you drop by and 'kick the dog out of [me]'. The offer is open for any time. You can find where I live simply by replying to this email. I'll be waiting to hear from you.
As sincere as I can be,
Jim
I never have been able to stand this arrogant twit. I'm more than willing to give him my address.
Ol' Rummy stung them pretty good I guess. Rummy laid out some clothes in the rough size of Democrats, and they complain about the color, not the fit. Thanks for putting them on Beckel!
Terrorists blow up children, behead innocents live, partake in every atrocity, oppression, an depravity known to man, and threaten westerners (including Democrats themselves!) with 'convert or die'. Yet Democrats still attack the man most effective in fighting terrorists.
I wish Don would run for President! Best person on Bush's staff, followed closely now by Hugh.
Bob Beckel: Bob Beckel is an American radio and television personality, he is a liberal pundit and loyal expositor of the Democratic Party. He is seen frequently on political talk shows, including those of Sean Hannity and Larry King. Beckel worked on the 1968 presidential campaign of Robert F.Kennedy and later volunteered in the Peace Corps. Beckel has also worked as a consultant and advisor to several Democratic candidates.
Donald Rumsfeld: Donald Henry Rumsfeld (born July 9, 1932) has been serving as the 21st United States Secretary of Defense since January 20, 2001, under President George W. Bush. He is the oldest person to have held that position, and was also the youngest when he served as the 13th Secretary of Defense from 1975 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford. If Rumsfeld serves as Secretary of Defense until November 2007 he will become the longest serving Secretary of Defense/War in U.S. history. Rumsfeld also served in various positions under President Richard Nixon, as well as four terms in the United States House of Representatives, and as U.S. ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) (1973-1974). He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 as an aviator and flight instructor, training in North American SNJ basic trainers and later flying Grumman F9F Panther fighters. In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Navy Captain in 1989. He has also served as an official in numerous federal commissions and councils. For example, as Defense Secretary, he organized a committee to conduct a deep historical analysis of ancient empires to try and understand how they sustained power and influence.[1] Rumsfeld married the former Joyce Pierson in 1954. They have three children and six grandchildren.
Well, I know who I would put my money on here...If you were in a burning building, who would you want on the sidewalk outside...Beckel or Rumsfeld. Oh, wait...that question has already been answered...:)
