Wasn't Beckel the scum-bag Democrat strategist who tried to corrupt and turn a Republican elector in the 2000 campaign after it became clear, even to the Supreme Court, the George Bush had won the election?

Why do conservatives continue to give Beckel and others like him any airtime at all? I've even heard Hannity remark that Beckel is a friend of his! How is that possible? Wasn't Beckel the guy who intended to subvert the electoral college after the 2000 election?
