I don't remember that. I do remember that he was the one who floated the idea of "investigating" the pasts of Florida electors in 2000 in order to get some of them to vote for Gore. He tried to downplay it later, but I consider that he made the greatest threat to our electoral system in a long time.
Both stories are accurate. After threatening the electors, the outrage was so loud and fierce, he had to go into hiding with police protection. He later apologized for it (making a special plea on Hannity's show) and became a "Christian." Looks like he's off his meds again...
