India PM warns of terror attacks
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that intelligence agencies have warned that more terrorist attacks were likely in the country.
Mr Singh said that that "economic and religious targets", as well as nuclear installations, could be the targets.
He said the intelligence agencies have also warned of more suicide attacks......

Amtrak Train Stopped, Searched In Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Operations are back to normal at the Amtrak station in Northwest Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's office said the Amtrak Silver Star train heading from Miami to New York was stopped in Jacksonville after passengers reports several men aboard the train were acting strangely. Passengers said they were rummaging through bags and moving from car to car.
The men were questioned by police and released.
The train left Jacksonville at about 2 a.m., but the cars that were being searched by bomb squad personnel and dogs were kept behind and are still at the station.
The FBI and Homeland Security joined the JSO in the investigation.
Amtrak is calling the situation "a false alarm."(snip)

Some Tense Moments At Wheeling/Ohio County Airport (WV)
An emergency device signaled a downed plane.
The Emergency Locator Transmitter--or E-L-T--pinpointed an area five miles north of the airport near Beech Bottom--off Apple Pie Ridge.Crews searched all over this area, however didn't find anything. Local air traffic controllers also didn't received any distress calls and witnesses did not report a plane going down. Search crews followed procedure to double-check--but no plane was found.

Woman found murdered, throat slashed Eyewitness News
(New York - WABC, September 4, 2006) - Police are investigating the murder of a woman found dead in her apartment in East Flatbush.
Police say the 41-year-old victim's throat was slashed.
She was a police department secretary. Her identity has not yet been released.
Police say her body was found when her ex-husband dropped off their kids last night. She had six children and six grandchildren.
No arrests have been made.
