President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday invited US President George W. Bush to a uncensored and live television debate. Ahmadinejad said: "I offer Mr Bush to take part in a TV debate with me without any censorship so that we put forward our views on ways to come out of the current international crises".

Ahmadinejad did not take any position to concrete topics like the atomic conflict the Iran. Ahmadinejad criticized that the USA and Great Britain used the UN, in order to force the world upon their will.

Ahmadinejad said: "I offer Mr Bush to take part in a TV debate with me without any censorship so that we put forward our views on ways to come out of the current international crises".

Ahmadinejad's condition: "This TV debate may not be censored for US public".

During the television debate, he would like to discuss possibilities with Bush of diminishing the up-to-date existing tensions.

"We have proposals for resolving the international crises on the basis of justice, dignity and equality of human being," Ahmadinejad added.

Does this mean Ahmadinejad is a Democrat and running in 2008?

And mean Gene Okerlund as the moderator for the debate/steel cage match...

You might want to start a Freep this Poll alert on this one. I'm at work and don't have the time to see if anyone has already started one. CNN has this on their Poll today: Who would win a debate on world issues between President Bush and Iranian President Ahmadinejad? Bush Ahmadinejad

I'm aghast that the poll numbers so far are running in Ahmadinejad's favor 62%!

Just goes to show you how left leaning and anti-American the CNN crowd is.

Disgusting, to be sure.

Napoleon complex.

In the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, Napoleon complex (or Napoleon syndrome) is a colloquial term used to describe a type of inferiority complex suffered by people who are short. The term is also used more generally to describe people who are driven by a perceived handicap to overcompensate in other aspects of their lives.

As the Greatest Book says:

With a good man it is good to talk,
Make him your fast friend:
But waste no words on a witless oaf,
Nor sit with a senseless ape.

And

Bandy no speech with a bad man:
Often the better is beaten
In a word fight by the worse.

Simple fact: Ahmadinejad. Not because he'd have the best rhetoric or the best oratory skills... but because the Bush puts him up as an equal.

There's a reason why boxing champs don't take on *every* comer.

He's full of it, believing the flattery of Mike Wallace. Bush beat both Kerry and Gore in debates, but I would not debate a dishonet liar like the Pres of Iran,

I'm sure the Dems will all be on TV tonight insisting that if they were President, they would do this because this is what we need to move the dialogue forward.

I doubt the Democrats would commit political suicide this way.

We accept your offer, Mr. Ahmadingyjob.

Unfortunately the President has a previous appointment of greater import that day (he's going fishing with his dad in Maine) so John Mark Karr will be sitting in for him. Try not to let him make you look as stupid as you usually do.

Ok only if Bush can choose the location--the pig barn at the Iowa State fair.

Come, come. Kerry wanted to give uranium to the Iranians. They've been complaining for years that Bush won't talk directly to the Iranians.

I would have said that was "suicide."

Why and for what purpose would our President want to debate a madman, one who supports a Terrorist organization? No debates, enough talk, either this nutjob stops his nuclear ambitions or he is forced to stop. No alternatives.

Yes.

The good news is that since W didn't win legitimately in 2000 or 2004 he can run against him.

The bad news is that Ahmadinejad has a far better chance than Gore or Kerry.

That's such a great idea but it's not original. Carter actually did it and two weeks later the U.S. embassy in Tehran was overrun and held hostage.

This guy is becoming more and more of a joke. He's trying to put himself at W's level [Ahmadinejad tortured prisoners to death...that's a biggie]...and his country as important as America...I hope again W ignores this nut. If he ignores him...it'll speak volumes....

If Ahmadinejad is OK doing this via satellite I think President Bush should consider it. It would certainly be amusing to watch! In no way should he enter Iran though...

If Ahmadinejad is willing to do this from Israel then maybe...

People who are used to telling it like it is should never enter into a debate with a spin doctor.

Shalom.
