Former President Bill Clinton caught the game at Shea Stadium, and a camera caught him snoozing during the eighth inning with the Cardinals clinging to a 7-6 lead. Fortunately, Clinton rose to the occasion for Carlos Beltran's game-winning two-run homer in the ninth, waking in time to high-five fans sitting around him. Indeed, Shea Stadium in this turnaround season has certainly resembled a place called Hope.

Don't see what the big deal is about this - most baseball games are boring. Shorten the game to 7 innings and cut the number of games to 100.

Not to hijack this thread, but I am so sick and tired of that LAME high-five thing. Is there an infomercial or any other TV commercial that doesn't include this forced ritual of feigned exuberance?

He had open heart surgery not that long ago and he has had continuing health problems, so I can understand the snoozing.

Saw this on GMA yesterday. "That's not fair...he was probably tired from his birthday parties over the last week" the GMA sub hostess said. Bill Wier agreed, they both giggled and moved on. Much the same as they would do if W. were filmed napping. not
It's loud with uncomfortable, small seats. Only a if you drink too much can you pass out in your seat.
Lately, I don't think there's much in life that he does like.

Well, he and his wife both dozed off at the memorial for 9/11 at the National Cathedral. They're just a couple of sleepy old folks.
Baseball games are great places to sleep.
