The president spoke with UN SG Kofi Annan about the international force being assembled for Lebanon; the Iranian regime's statement on its nuclear program; and the need to improve the situation in Darfur. He attended a fundraiser for Senator George Allen, R-VA.
President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.
That sounds good. I will definitely try it. I have a recipe for healthy spaghetti sauce, and I love the stuff. I'm always looking for different ways to use it.
Is there a name for this diet - is it on the web or is it a book?
It sounds interesting.
Thanks.

If you follow just what I wrote down, that's pretty much the diet. You can use cauliflower, beans, beets, carrots, broccoli in different places.
If you'd like me to give you all the possible substitutions, I can do that.

Just caught your post as I am culling recipes off this thread -- you had quite a reaction to that!
Apparently it's not just me. When my Norwegian friend and I were shopping at Sam's Club, she asked what I would do w/the baked beans. All I could think of was, "Dump them out of the can and put them in the microwave?" Curious about American habits, she asked if I would put beans on toast (she spent some time in England) and I almost threw up.
I thought maybe I was a bit sensitive and did an unscientific poll of a few other Americans, asking if they would eat beans on toast. They all had the same reaction, basically, 'WTF would make you do something like that?'
I have to admit that I've never eaten baked beans on toast, and the first 17+ times (till now) that I heard of it, I always thought, Why would you need to put baked beans on toast? They taste so good by themselves ... but the recipe does seem to have quite a following. No accounting for taste = proven all over again, every day.
