President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.

but I think there is some squishiness about abortion with him.I may be mistaken, but I thought that this was one of the issues where he thought the fed'l gov't should not interfere. That would be fine with me. I'm anti-abortion, but I am also anti-gov't regulation.

I love Miracle Whip. & loathe mayonnaise. LOL!

I do too. Most Americans aren't thinking about 2008 yet. We tend to have a very short attention span. (Myself included. Must be the ADD that runs in my family...)

Polenta is similar. It's a slightly different texture but comes from the same thing :)

You can also put baked beans in the sandwiches as wellYes! I got introduced to that treat when I worked in London. I do it now, too. And when I was in Australia, I got introduced to spaghetti on toast. I do that sometimes now, too.
My American friends think I'm weird, but so what..... :-)

As a kid we would use the food grinder on Sunday night to grind up the leftover roast beef from dinner, throw in some pickles, onions add mayo and voila.....dinner sandwich!
I think I gave my mom's grinder to my daughter. I wonder if she still has it. You are right about food processers not being the same.

Curry is another flavor that I didn't meet until I was waaaay old, and then I discovered I really like it. My mom never used it and none of my friends' parents cooked with it when I ate at their homes.

Yes tinned spaghetti on toast.
If I do baked beans on toast I add a little worchestershire sauce (Lea and Perrins) as well and a sprinkle of pepper.
