You can also put baked beans in the sandwiches as well

Yes! I got introduced to that treat when I worked in London. I do it now, too. And when I was in Australia, I got introduced to spaghetti on toast. I do that sometimes now, too.

My American friends think I'm weird, but so what..... :-)

Yes tinned spaghetti on toast.

If I do baked beans on toast I add a little worchestershire sauce (Lea and Perrins) as well and a sprinkle of pepper.

Your spaghetti sandwich post led me to this:

Pizza Pockets
http://tinyurl.com/ouunx

INGREDIENTS:
* Two tablespoons of jar or leftover spaghetti sauce
* Heaping tablespoon if mozzarella cheese
* Two slices of bread, buttered on one side
* **Optional topping of choice: mushrooms, pepperoni, etc.

PREPARATION:
Preheat sandwich maker according to the manufacturer’s directions. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the sandwich maker. Mound the heaping tablespoon of mozzarella cheese in the middle of the bread.

Pour two tablespoons of sauce on the cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up. Close and lock lid. Cook for two minutes, check and cook for up to one minute more as needed.
