WILLIAM COHEN: They found that terrorists are determined to intimidate and prevent the United States from pursuing our worldwide national security interests, and they will continue to tenaciously look for exposed seams in our force protection armor. Their fundamental conclusion is that we must view terrorists as a relentless enemy and, "confront the terrorists with the same intensity and discipline that we have used in the past to defeat conventional antagonists." Now, I agree with this conclusion. As our conventional superiority increases, we must pay greater attention to combating asymmetric threats, including terrorism. Every night, all of us sleep under this blanket of freedom because men and women in uniform sail and patrol in harm's way. And as Secretary of Defense, I understand that even America's best efforts cannot remove every risk that our soldiers and sailors, airmen and Marines are going to face, although we will always strive to do exactly that. We have to continue what we started, and that is to protect our nation's interest, to protect our men and women in uniform, and to subdue the enemies. And we have to continue to thank the soldiers, the sailors, the airmen, and Marines, and their families, for all that they do to protect us.

Billy Cohen was a RINO from Maine, like the two senatrixes from Maine are now.
Does that mean that Bush is wrong? What if Mad Halfbright starts agreeing with him?
Look at the date. He said this during the Perpetrator-in-Chief's administration.
Cohen was the token Republican in the Cinton administration.
Isn't this from January, 2001? Or, did I miss something here?
Good catch.
Thanks.
William Cohen is a spineless Clinton suck up and I don't care what he says.
Isn't this from January, 2001? Or, did I miss something here?
Yes you missed something. The date January, 2001 was the whole point of "What happened to the democrats?" Look at how they were talking then. GWB became President Jan. 20, 2001.
So this means they've learned nothing in five years?
HMMMMMMM
Better than some other things a Klintoon stoolie might have said . . . Wonder who or what prompted him to say such.
They went from being hawks to doves and dirtbag perverts to scumbag traitors.
I understand when GWB took office. So, what did happen to the democrats? To me, this is nothing new, especially coming from some one from the Clinton administration.
Cohen has never been sure which side of the fence he was on. This is like getting french kissed by your grandmother.
>|oP ewwwwwwwwwww!

very good ...LOL
After just watching the A&E special on Flight 175 I am more angry than ever. To think that a federal judge could stop wiretapping terrorists, to think Jimmy Carter is bad mouthing our President and OUR WOT, to think that rats are demanding we cut and run is beyond belief.
