Hillary Clinton setting up for presidential run

US Senator and former First Lady Hillary Clinton is quietly putting in place the infrastructure and logistics for a White House run.

Although the wife of former president Bill Clinton officially remains focused on her reelection race as New York state's US senator, her strategists told Time magazine that they are urging her to make her intentions clear about running for the US presidency by next spring, to lock in funding and political talent.

The magazine to hit newsstands Monday reported that Democrat Clinton so far has collected 33 million dollars in campaign contributions, of which 10 million dollars or more might be squirreled away for an eventual White House run.

She also has assembled a small army of 32 full-time staffers and 13 political consultants, and has devised the outlines of a centrist campaign agenda that focuses on energy policy, the economy, and privacy, among other issues.

She also has a national direct-mail and Internet operation in the works, the magazine reported.

And of course, she has perhaps her most important asset, her husband and top political strategist Bill Clinton, who is "thinking about (her presidential prospects) all the time," one of Hillary's advisers told Time.

"He's thinking about it and talking to a lot of people, promoting Hillary. This is something he is very focused on."

Texas insurance mogul and philanthropist Bernard Rapoport, a longtime Clinton friend and backer, told the magazine: "He thinks that she should run, and he's going to do everything possible to help her."

Clinton, long hated by Republicans, also appears to be winning over more of the public. A Time poll found that 53 percent of respondents had a favorable impression of Clinton -- higher than most

Just imagine how much airbushing will be needed in 07 and 08 if she does run.

It will be massive.

I say let her run. Hell, I hope she wins! I'd give anything to buy a ticket to the "Four more years of Bill in the White House" Show!

This is news? Hillary's been running since November, 1992. Which brings up a point - she's already had two terms in the White House.

First off, this slimy hag is a liar:

"Why do I have to keep proving to people that I am not a liar?" (First Lady hillary in her 2000 Senate campaign; "The Survivor," p. 382, by John Harris)

She said she always wanted to be an astronaut; "It had never crossed my mind up until that point that there might be doors closed to me simply because I was a girl," recalled the letter writer, better known today as former first lady hillary clinton, in a letter asking how to become an astronaut.

"I've always been a yankees fan; hillary clinton in her own words, by Thomas D. Kuiper (World Ahead, 166 pages, $12.95)
Dick Morris, who wrote the foreword to I've Always Been a Yankee Fan, praised Mr. Kuiper's "wonderful little book" for "making sure that hillary's quotes and lies are not forgotten but come back to haunt her" when she inevitably runs for president in 2008.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 4, 2006--Olympic athlete. Astronaut. Doctor. Scientist. All dream careers for the young hillary rodham, or so she claims..dreams squashed because NASA "didn't take girls". Earlier this week, the Associate Press published remarks by NY's junior senator at a symposium on Title IX, the federal law prohibiting gender discrimination in certain educational programs. "I wanted desperately to be an Olympic athlete," she is quoted as saing. "...(But) I couldn't jump, I couldn't run, I couldn't swim..."

You want a LIAR for a President to represent us again? Look at what her other half of the co-presidents did to us for 8 years before a decent, moral, man came along...GWB...I certainly don't want to go back down the corruption ally again with them two...do you?

"Clinton, long hated by Republicans, also appears to be winning over more of the public. A Time poll found that 53 percent of respondents had a favorable impression of Clinton -- higher than most"

If 50% of Democrats polled recently don't want her to run, and 95% of Republicans cannot stand her, who is the 53%?

She will have the best organization, the most money, the most committed true believers, and she is ruthless. If a top opponent has an "accident," don't be surprised. And she will be proficient in gathering votes from felons, illegals, dead people, care facilities, college campuses, and mental health facilities. Those underestimating her are making a deadly mistake.

Bring her on!

With a solid 40% negatives, the only way she cold possibly win is if John McKeating launched a third-party bid the way Ross Perot helped elected Bill... twice.

Dinosaur media starts campaigning earlier and earlier for Hillary.

When she runs for President get ready for more glorifying 'tributes' to the witch.

Clinton, long hated by Republicans...

"Hate" is kind of a strong word.

But I'm okay with it.

great time to be a p.r. firm, or a political consultant.
Lots of money on both sides are going to be spent to elect or not elect this devil woman.

I tell ya, a stake through the heart or a silver bullet the only hope.

This ain't news to us! Dear God, there has to be a way for the American people to know the truth about this woman and her equally corrupt "hubby." The media sure isn't going to tell them.
