Alaska Airlines flight diverted to Seattle

An Alaska Airlines flight had to make an unscheduled stop in Seattle Friday morning after the plane lost cabin pressure, according to Sea-Tac Airport spokesman Bob Parker.

Parker says Flight 690 left Vancouver, B.C. just after 7 a.m. and was heading to San Francisco when the Boeing 737 lost cabin pressure. The plane was diverted to Seattle and landed safely around 8:20 a.m.

Fourteen people, including at least three crew members, were being treated by Sea-Tac medics for very minor injuries, Parker said.

Their 737s are old dogs.

In your haste to overreact you seemed to have misspelled 'airlines' as 'alrlines.'

Misleading headline. I thougth this was the usual story about some ME Muslim with possible anger management issues (which I realize is a redundacy).

Watching FOX, it seems the bomb is being carried by a little girl from Colorado wearing a cowboy suit and way too much makeup. Maybe I should turn up the sound?

The federal government, airline, automobile, and oil companies are all conspiring to prevent us from getting flying cars. Where's my flying car?

Alaska Airlines has had SEVERAL incidents like this in the past months. One wonders if there is sabotage going on.

Alaska Airlines has maintenance "issues." They lost an MD-80 in 2000 off the coast of Los Angeles because the horizontal stabilizer jackscrew broke.

Didn't they lose an MD-80 because the crew chose to try and fix the problem in flight rather than land the plane?

As I recall, the horizontal trim jammed, they were diverting to LAX, but kept trying to free up the trim until the jackscrew sheared off.

I'd rather that the pilot get his plane down to a safe altitude fast and then explain what happened rather than waste time explaining what's going on while hypoxia sets in....

I figure that drama queens need a little more help. Seems that others also decided that it wasn't breaking news.

Unless you're outside the plane, in which case it blows.

I think they should bring back the Pony Express.

The Pony Express didn't handle passengers, passengers found it too terrifying to hang onto the back of the saddle behind the Express rider with the horse going all out. However, we could bring back Wells Fargo and Butterfield stage lines.:)

Something like, "If you notice the passenger next to you turning blue, don't be alarmed, I will start my descent momentarily but in the meantime if you are still concious, please use the oxygen mask hanging down in front of you". Yeah, I would rather that announcement waited until we were down to about 11,000 feet also!

What the heck do terrorists need to do, when we harm and scare ourselves even more?

False alarms are like the boy crying wolf....

In an effort to provide false security for the American public, our government has become the problem. This is rapidly becoming insane!

S T O P !

Our TSA in America is an outrage upon everything that this country was founded upon. Millions of law abiding American citizens have been search and items consficated from them.

Of these millions of people searched, how many were actualy arrested and found guilty of terrorist activities against our country?

If there was even one, I would be surprized.

So, who is actually causing the most harm to the American citizens?
